Appliances these days are absolute junk. Nothing last more then like 7-10 years. My parents have a stainless steel kitchen aid fridge thats 20+ years old and works like a charm and a second shitty white fridge thats at least 15 years old by now. My aunt has gone through 2 samsung fridges in 10 years though
Sad thing is its not only refrigerators. Dishwashers, washers, and driers are all junk as well. My parents have had 2 dryers in the last 8 years and my aunt 3 in the last 10 with one of them being repaired like 10 times in 3 years because something was always breaking. Not sure if our family just has horrible luck with those things or if they really are just that crappy now
I know this is such small beans compared to some of the incredible stories denizens of the internet bring us, and I apologize for the length of this wall of text, but I really want to set the picture....
If reddit does IPO I 100% for sure am buying puts. Only enough to the point if I lose the money it wont hurt me but enough money that if reddit tanks I can make a decent chunk if change.
For me its having a single instance that indexes all the communites to which all other instances can then pull that information from so when I go searching for communities the Iโll have access to every single one with needing to post the entire URL in the search bar
I think a lot of people are going to be disappointed when they find out that its not just sign up and go. Could be a good thing in that it filters out all the lazy people for the time being or it could be a bad thing in that it filters out to many people and not enough people sign up for this to take off
Don't delete your Reddit account

Sad to see Reddit go
I wish there was an alternative to leaving Reddit
What are the biggest upgrades/fixes that you would like to see done to Lemmy?
