That’s the part I’m interested in, I’df there’s really a tax issue. Maybe he really didn’t understand justices had to have ethics and morals, avoid corruption and conflicts of interest, and were just there to solicit gifts from plaintiffs, but how can he explain away if he didn’t pay taxes?
The number of buyers in the U.S. considering an electric vehicle purchase in 2024 has fallen from a year ago due to a shortage of affordable cars, inadequate charging infrastructure and ignorance about EV benefits, a study by J.D. Power, opens new tab has shown....
Definitely a good time to consider a lease. You don’t want to be saddled with something outdated in a year or two. Leases are ok for precisely this situation where you want to get frequent new cars and not keep the old. While technology is changed by so fast, why not?
I did go ahead with a purchase but I considered it. I believe Tesla currently has a fantastic deal on A Model 3 lease so maybe that would have changed something but it’s too late for me
No I agree with GP here. The way problem has always been they expected to do it on the cheap because of low profit percentage. It’s not just that they don’t know how to build a good ui or a reputable product: it’s that they never see the need to invest there. Why would that change now?
I don’t know if Tesla superchargers are a profitable or close to it, but they clearly benefitted by Tesla being willing to spend enough to do the job right
Spite, not principles. He just wanted his 10% or whatever layoffs and everything else is him not wanting anyone to say no. Obviously we don’t know how it went down but a good leader should listen to the people they trust to do their jobs and protect their people. Some of that happened and some didn’t
I’m actually afraid I may be in a similar boat. Head of engineering just got fired because he refused layoffs. Now we’re waiting for the other shoe to drop
Works both ways though. That was a big point of contention while I was married: if you want special treatment for any item of clothes, it’s up to you to at least turn it inside out and sort it into the “special needs” bin. I’m not reading every label on all the clothes for the entire family.
However she never did. Just complained when it went through the normal wash with hundreds of other items. Who’s your momma now? Your big hairy momma with a beard?
Just change the sign on their desk. Cross out “investment advisor” and pencil in “investment sales”. Now they’re more honest/transparent and can continue their slimey, scammy ways
Right, I expect you could just ignore this rule if you’re not posing as an advisor. A salesman can continue lying and misrepresenting
…… and I really hope they gate it upon the title “advisor”. No one knows what a fiduciary is. It’s simple: calling yourself an advisor requires a fiduciary responsibility
It’s hilarious to see this next to another thread about a Republican political ad “ So don’t be weak and gay” …. Apparently it’s easier than y’all thought, to manipulate voters. The expressiveness and compassion of todays ai far outshines what most Conservatives seem able to muster
(Apologize for the intrusion of politics: I’ll shut up now)
I can see discussion if he committed crimes related to being in office, that time was past, and we wanted the country to move forward, but none of that is true. Trump is finally facing justice for crimes throughout hiss adult life and he’s trying to skip justice to gain the presidency. This is not the Nixon situation. Even worse, Romney reasons it “to be a bigger man”, wtf, this isn’t just play acting as part of the presidential campaign
But seriously, a huge point these articles never seem to include is whether the photo is before or after rescuers pried it apart to get the people out. I’ve been fooled before by horrible accident damage that was just “jaws of life”
Fun to joke about but activities with my teens are still my highlights. They don’t have to be the stereotype.
The real problem is their increasing absences, their approaching independence. It’s really frustrating fostering their independence, pulling back from taking care of them, dreading their impending “graduation” into adulthood.
On the other hand at my performance review, my manager spent most of the time encouraging to get back into dating now that kids are gradually leaving, trying to give me tips and encouragement, so I got that going for me
How about waking up early on a rainy Monday for a conference call? But then the whole week is rescued by the coworker in India talk about the heat and lack of rain, and how late it is after the end of their workday

Isn’t that what being paid in stock is meant to do? Reward him for making decisions causing the company to do well? There’s usually vesting periods and someone that high can’t just sell all at once, so it should incent him to act in the long term best interest of the company. In particular, Musk was famous for negotiating a pay package with less salary, and very aggressive targets for the company, to get stock bonuses . It should be good that it succeeded, that he met those targets
This is what I don’t get since reality is so different from the above fable. Where did it all go so wrong?
