Can I still play my Xbox 360 games after July 2024?
Yes, you will still be able to play the games you purchased on Xbox 360. If you purchased the game digitally or have a physical disc, you can still jump in and play. If you’ve deleted a game that you have purchased, but you want to play again, you’ll still be able to re-download it.
What about multiplayer games via the Xbox network? Can I still play with my friends?
Yes. Even after July 2024, you will still be able to play games and connect with friends through multiplayer on the games you purchased, as long as the publisher still supports the online servers. You can still save your games and progress to the cloud, and if you choose to continue any of those available games on Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S, those cloud saves will transfer over.
Can I still buy and play Xbox 360 backward-compatible titles?
There is no impact to purchasing or playing backward-compatible Xbox 360 titles. After July 29, 2024, you will still be able to purchase hundreds of great backward-compatible Xbox 360 and Original Xbox games and DLC on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox.com. We believe in celebrating gaming’s rich history and have worked hard to preserve as many games as possible through our backward-compatibility program. You can find the full list of backward-compatible titles here.
Agreed. This has nothing to do with advertisers. It’s about creating a community where hate speech is not allowed. Free speech doesn’t include nazi, transphobes and the likes.
I love reading more TOH, but I can’t help but wonder what would happen if Mark decided to write an original story.
His writing’s good, his canon shows that he’s got lots of ideas, and the action scene of Ayzee against the fairy the other day was great as well. I would 100% buy/support him on patreon if he decided to go original.
I am literally unable to remember people’s faces. If you talk to me, go for a walk, and come back ten minutes later, I won’t recognize you.
Once, the guy who sat next to me at university for two years, and with whom I spent countless time together, took the same bus as me. I hopped on the bus, saw him, and my brain told me “Uh, that’s kind of a familiar face, I guess”. I smiled to him (because he looked familiar), then I passed him and and went to sit some rows behind.
He’s made fun of me ever since.
The worst thing is, I work at the front desk of a hotel. I always struggle to remember who’s who. Sometimes I recognize their shirt, their hair, their voice, or I see a family with two kids and remember “oh yeah, they’re from room 210”. But most of the time, I must ask them to remind me which room they are, even if they checked-in just ten minutes before.

Very cool. I had a similar idea for my homebrew setting where humans needed special minerals, kind of similar to this setting’s quartz, to cast spells.
In my setting, the mineral worked the same way as the vancian system, ie the spellcaster had to store a spell inside the mineral ahead of time. To store higher level spells, higher rarity minerals were required.
It only applied to humans (except for Warlocks and Sorcerers), which was at the root of the main conflict of the campaign.
The minerals were highly sought-after by humans, of course, but most of the mines were situated in non-human countries, which exacerbated the problem, because non-humans pretty much had full control over the market and would sell the minerals at very high prices.
For this reason, the human empire was devoting a huge speck of its balance to import the minerals, but eventually decided that it wasn’t worth it and ended up waging war against its neighbours to appropriate some of the mines.
Inside the empire there was social friction as well, as the low-grade minerals were commonly found everywhere, while higher rarity minerals were usually appropriated by the army or people rich enough to buy them. Despite this, everyone was paying exorbitant taxes to finance the war, and some lost their relatives in it. Common people were paying the price, but were not seeing any benefit.
The players were thrown into this huge mess and were asked to pick a side.
Is the empire right in waging war? They started it, but magic was important for the well-functioning of society and the neighboring countries were strong-arming them by raising the price of the most sought-after thing in the world.
When civil war erupted, which side were they on? Common people wanted the minerals to be available to everyone, especially because they were the ones shouldering most of the cost (both in terms of money, and human lives) but the harsh truth was, there just wasn’t enough for everybody. The players could choose to take Robin Hood’s side and steal some minerals for the commoners, but that meant that soldiers on the border could find themselves without magic on a battlefield where their enemies could cast fireballs left and right.
Hey, don’t worry, we all have a life outside of Lemmy :)
Anyway, thanks a lot for the recommendation! I used to be really into video games. Not so much recently, but I still play something every now and then when I need some time alone to space out a bit and forget the outside world. I actually had Triangle Strategy on my wishlist for a long time, and now you made me a bit curious about trying it out. I’ll probably get it as soon as I see it on sale!

I started Tunic yesterday and rang the first two bells (east and west). Loving it so far. Too bad work will get in the way for the most part of the week, I can’t wait to delve into the game again :)
Built during the XV century over a pre-existing keep dating back to the X century, the castle saw a lot of conflicts, as it lies on the historical border between Milan and Venice. Restoration works began during the 1800s and went on for over a century. Today, this lovely castle can be visited for a very low sum of money (€5,...
It does! I frequently walk the moat at night-time. It’s peaceful and relaxing, and castles at night do have a certain mystique.
As far as I know, dry moats are still called moats, but I’m unsure if they have a name in english. This castle’s moat was actually filled with water back when it was in activity. It must’ve been a sight to behold.
I think you are talking of Furi. The developers shared how many units were sold on which platforms (link to Vice article), which showed that Xbox just wasn’t worth working on because it wouldn’t recoup the costs. For reference, the game was already a few years old at that point and MS refused to put it on GamePass, which would’ve hurt the game’s visibility even more.
It seems to me it’s a pvp focused game, which is not really my thing. Having fun as a party is the main reason I play DnD to begin with. Too much stress already, I like sitting and playing a chill adventure with my friends instead of competing against them.
Sorry, i read the link while half asleep. The article itself is only a few lines long, and then it diverts to “Other Darrington Press games” and I didn’t notice it while reading.
I’ll check it out when it releases, although the problem with other systems is always the same - my group already knows dnd and doesn’t want to learn a new game. I bought some pathfinder books a few months ago and I’ve never had the chance to use them.
Very active developer, he just released mod tools and multi communities. I spent years browsing Reddit with Relay and felt miserable with every other Lemmy app, but with Summit, I felt right at home.

I watched Dragon Prince slightly before TOH and I remember really liking it, although I haven’t watched season 4-5 yet. 1-3 is a self-contained story, although some mysteries remain for the following seasons to expand upon.
