I wonder sometimes if men's suits genuinely look good, or if they just seem good due to the combination of status marker and social conditioning.

It's hard to separate social constructs from perception and taste.

@AdaraAstin I wonder if it's less to do with status and more as a marker of competence. In the same way that a man holding a baby is more attractive. It's the put-together-ness that says "If you ask me for an orange, I'll peel if for you. And I wash my a**" A badly fitted, stained suit doesn't hit the same.
