Fina’s father visits her again while she’s recovering in the dormitory. He brings her lentils Digna made for her. They joke a bit and agree they’re both grateful to have reunited. Isidro was an idiot and a half but Fina isn’t holding it against him, she’s just glad to have her father back.

there are so many harmful depictions of love in fiction and concepts of "perfect love" that are pushed in society. today, it was this one that annoyed me.
why "moving on" aka finding love and happiness after the death of a partner is considered something less? that it means that they didn't love them enough. that if it was true love, they would never be able to move on.

my partner is often frustrated that our dog doesn't listen to her. I explained the reasons for his behavior over and over, but it doesn't help. sometimes she gets a bit jealous about it and it's so funny. I always try to restrain myself, not laugh, and I even quietly make him do what she wanted from him. balancing family relationships is so hard 🤣
