Alsephina,

That’s like saying you don’t get movies, or cartoons. You’re just not watching the genres you’d like.

Alsephina,

Argentina isn’t sanctioned at all lmao. Thinking Venezuela is a failure is exactly what the US and its allies want you to think with the ridiculous amount of sanctions. Can’t have people see Socialism succeeding.

China Quietly Rebuilds Secretive Base for Nuclear Tests (www.nytimes.com)

In the remote desert where China detonated its first atom bomb nearly 60 years ago, a drilling rig recently bored a deep vertical shaft that is estimated to plunge down at least a third of a mile. It is the strongest evidence yet that Beijing is weighing whether to test a new generation of nuclear arms that could increase the...

Alsephina,

Nukes for me but not for thee 🍷

Alsephina,

More like these nations should disarm themselves together

Alsephina,

? They’re just using the real name.

Do you get mad when people call “America” USA?

Alsephina,

was still blissfully ignorant

Most westerners still are lol

Alsephina,

Well, the US does have an ardent pro-Israel Zionazi as the president this time around.

Genocide is fine so long as it destabilizes the middle east, gets oil corporations better deals thanks to that, and profits military corporations.

Alsephina,

Blowback. Very, very good podcast on western imperialism.

Alsephina,

China being based as always

Alsephina,

Very common W

Alsephina,

China doing a better job regulating corporations than the west is nothing new.

Even this current one happened while Tencent was barely recovering from another regulation set last year. Kicking megacorps while they’re down lol as they should.

Alsephina,

It’s a bit of a hyperbole of course. But China is generally much better at regulating corporations like this.

Alsephina,

Ah, the redditor China Bad^TM^ mindset. Love it

Alsephina, (edited )

Damn this ‘broken clock’ is strangely good at being right. With their CO2 emmissions plateuing last month and even starting to fall while targeting zero emissions by 2060, them spearheading cleaner energy this month with the first 4th gen nuclear reactor, and boosting trans rights with a court ruling just last week.

And of course the current new regulation in this post happening right now.

Alsephina,

Lmao I love seeing libs lose their minds when corporations aren’t there to censor everything for them. Cope harder

Alsephina,

What am I supposed to do with this information

Alsephina,

Becoming an incel was another way serving affected him

"If you tell a lie big enough and tell it frequently enough, people will eventually come to believe it". What is an example of this happening today?

I would really rather that these were actual examples, and not conspiracy theories. We all have our own unsubstantiated ideas about what shadowy no-gooders are doing, but I’d rather hear about things that are actually happening.

Alsephina,

Everything is political lmao

Alsephina,

One side will tell you otherwise while voting for a zionist that’s funding a genocide lol

Alsephina, (edited )

China’s bottom-up system of power starting at the mass line via committees and polling does mean a slower progress on social change than a top-down approach like you see in the west, but it also means a more consistent gradual improvement as younger generations age up. Whereas it’s always a constant battle in the west, with a large (quite often successful) push for reversal.

Trans rights got a boost in China just last week for example with a court ruling.

Alsephina,

Stems from the black book of Communism which counts nazis killed by the Soviets, everyone killed by the nazis in the USSR, unborn children and even more absurd shit like that just to get to that number lmao.

If we count shit like that, Capitalism has killed billions.

Alsephina, (edited )

Do you also think the Viet Cong was bad and a terrorist organization? They used similar guerilla tactics, and also attacked villages and took hostages. These are simply the most effective tactics for driving out an occupying force, and they wouldn’t be necessary if the oppressors weren’t there in the first place.

Hamas isn’t great, but they sure as hell are better than Israel. Even their most damaging attack on October 7 doesn’t compare to the shit Israel has been repeatedly doing for over half a century now. Nor does it compare to the current Palestinian genocide.

Alsephina,

You are a hamas supporter

Saying that as if it’s a bad thing lmao. Of course you should support the people resisting an occupying force. They have been far more civil than Israel has ever been.

that price […] increases with inflation

While the vast majority of wages don’t, not nearly enough to keep with inflation. Surely you can see the problem here, right? I agree with op that you should get a real job.

But yeah, putting the blame on individual landlords isn’t very productive. The core issue here is the capitalist system that allows landlords to exist in the first place.
