As the service grows, I have noticed more and more people and bots popping up, only posting links to a news article and that’s that. Usually there is no post, no summary and nothing from the OP but the link....
Not only do I think bots should be banned from making posts, I also think that people that display bot-like behavior should be warned and then banned if they don’t stop.
I can only see this going into a very dystopian path. Based on their actions, I don’t trust these companies, their security practices, nor their privacy policies. Why would I give them my biometrics? And my full palm, at that!? Hell no!
I’m talking about something where you can modify your Space Rig or at least a certain large room of the space rig the way you want. It would be pretty cool and give people who’ve already maxed out on stuff something else to do. Either that or a modifiable cave would be amazing too. A lot of other games use similar concepts...
So for context: I'm a programmer and I like the idea of not using a game engine, but I have no real prior experience with game development specifically.
I thought it was a good idea to make a text adventure game (think Zork) in C, since the language offers great portability, including the ability to run code on the 6502. Also a text adventure game made sense because I can't make art and idk anyone else who wanted to work on a game with me.
This was a terrible idea for a few reasons:
A text adventure game is impossible to make with a small scope
My from-scratch engine wasn't really designed with modifying the game data mid-development in mind
I have no clue what I'm doing.
I just don't know what to do now. Any ideas? @gamedev
