So Rhapsody : A Musical Adventure is wild! I have been updating @mrpablington with the crazy story as I go.
It’s totally an obscure PS1 RPG where you couldn’t possibly figure out where to go ; hidden ways to progress. It does however, reminds me that you actually had to interact with characters, and pay attention to dialogue to know where to go instead of following a minimap.A different time!

Some frustrating elements, but I love it! Almost finished the first game.

Big hitter of the week : #DRAGONSDOGMA2

Dragons Dogma 2 TLDR:

• running surprisingly avg on consoles considering the graphical fidelity. I feel like RE engine and do better , we’ve seen it.

• people on steam review bombing due to microstransaction ( $1-$5 ..changing your characters look ect. Only 1 save slot

• great reviews from critics ; MC 87

• Wait for Capcom to optimize & remove silly microtransactions before buy.

• this game can shine. Learn from #ubisofts mistakes

Impressions of the legion go cont.

• I think the weight distribution is good
  -the side buttons on the right “joy-con” are a bit strange ; I kept pressing them until I adjusted my grip a bit lower
• there needs to be more TDP options
• the speakers leave me a bit perplexed in placement and output. Changing settings in windows /tinkering helps ; I read that using vocal with some Hz changes make it 100% more pleasing ; can confirm it works

There are all forgivable due to the SCREEN. 🤩🤩

So I bit the bullet as an early grad present to myself and bought a Legion Go.

Some intial impressions so far:

-screen is big and beautiful ; it’s almost a new way to play in my brain 🧠 . It’s very difficult to go back to steam deck LCD. The colors are fantastic ! So immersive.

• there is no way around it ; the UI and windows OS is clunky but forgiving . I don’t mind tinkering .
• the performance compared to steam deck is surprising ;I wasn’t expecting such a jump in visual fidelity

Looks like Star Ocean 2 on Switch will not have the full game on the cart. Seems Square went with only an 8GB cart so it needs an additional download of 4.1GB.
I had it preordered but just cancelled and I’ll now get it when it’s something like €20 instead.

I really hate these penny pinching practices.

EDIT:

looks like the European version doesn't require a download.
It does have an optional one for languages besides Japanese and English.

So .. playing #BaldursGate3 .. ooof 😅 it’s difficult . It’s very rewarding though, and I keep coming back for more. There are always new ways change the tide of combat and things to explore. What an amazing game so far.
I’m enjoying it on #steamdeck.
It has my full attention. 👀

I’m not sure how #larian have mastered punishing and comfy together but its a thing.. 🤔

Binged my way through my first playthrough of #thecosmicwheelsisterhood . It was so unique and fresh. I can only imagine the staggering amount of programming due to choice and creativity the player is given in this game. Another #devolver gem.
