Hello,

Thank you for this post, a nice piece of positivity among the tensions from the last few days.

You are a great person, thank you for your work.

For people asking why France is split, they used Occitan for the southern part, which I think is an interesting choice to show the regional language even if most people don’t speak it.

Surfacing Content from Smaller Communities on Lemmy

Before the scaled sort was introduced, the hope was that it would provide a solution to surface posts from smaller communities, without being overrun by memes and political posts from larger communities. However, the scaled sort has been ineffective so far, as most posts appear with a single vote, making it practically the same...

Mbin has that. They released a new version 2 weeks ago I’ll have a closer look soon, seems very promising

But somebody can get started on Ghost, or WordPress.com, or Buttondown, or ConvertKit or whatever.

Lemmy loses scroll position on Android FF

Not new to the Fediverse but new to Lemmy. I’ve noticed that after viewing a post, navigating back does not restore the vertical scroll position on the previous page. This is happening on latest stable Firefox for Android, but not on FF desktop 123.0. I tried searching but I only found this (not sure if this is even the right...

Hello,

Thank you for your feedback. We’ll probably do something along those lines, the only issue being to know how long we should keep the posts pinned

Oh yeah sorry, I copied the translation from Google Translate and didn’t read it. It should be fixed now.

‘Kung Fu Panda 4’ KO-ing $55M, ‘Dune: Part Two’ $44M As Overall Weekend Jumps +13% Vs. 2023 – Saturday Box Office (deadline.com)

Universal/DreamWorks Animation’s Kung Fu Panda 4 is coming in higher with a $19.4M Friday (including previews) and $55M, which is the same amount that How to Train Your Dragon: Hidden World opened to back in 2019. Brand animation always opens big. That’s still the second best stateside start for the Kung Fu Panda franchise.

Interesting. Also, if people want to discuss the movie, we have a pinned thread on !movies
