My favorite part of this game was the ending, when the milquetoast lumberjack who refused to open up to me chased my car down out of love and my character basically told them that they’re insane. Clearly not an expectation of the devs that you’d choose that ending, but objectively the funniest.
I had a lot of fun with gotg. A really solid game with a great story and characters that you actually cared about. Dumb action that could have been a little more complex, but it worked!
Hey everyone! Sorry I’m a little late with this, I’m still getting things in order from my vacation and I’m a bit jet-lagged lol. I fell asleep before I could post this last night....
Cool. So you get to look like a dick and actively make someone’s life more difficult. You not tipping doesn’t change the employers mind. It just makes someone else’s life worse. Congrats.
What are you talking about? Servers rarely if ever get minimum wage, which federally is still 7.25, which is not enough to live off of. If they were making $23 in many places they’d be doing a lot better. But that’s not the reality of the situation.
I’m about 15 hours into octopath traveler 2. its been a long time since i’ve played a JRPG like this one. the story and design are great so far. Getting a little bored with the grindiness of dungeons but that’s the nature of things in this type of game. The amount of choices you can make as any character with their battles at any time is mind boggling, which makes boss fights really strategic but a regular fight against grunts can be tedious.
So I did it, I beat Horizon: Forbidden West and now I’m left with that empty feeling inside that I get whenever I finish any game I love. Luckily I still have to finish up a few of the core character side quests. Then I have Burning Shores and Frozen Wilds I haven’t played yet....
Agreed, got very bored halfway through stories with how tedious everything was. Would probably be fun with friends but I couldn’t even find online groups consistently.
I bought persona 5 royal after listening to the get played podcast rave about it. First playthrough took me about 85 hours, though I know some people it takes 100+ hours with all the extra royal content. It’s a very big game with a lot of stuff!
Immediately jumped into p4 right after and it has really great social links and combat, although generated dungeons are not nearly as fun imo and definitely grindy.
If you like RPGs, any kind of relationship building content, or interesting stories, I think it will hook you. Not to mention the music is incredibly good and the design is very unique.
This year, apart from Control early on, I've mostly played lengthy open-world games like Ghost of Tsushima and Hogwarts Legacy. I'm looking into games with smaller scales, that don't require a huge time commitment....
Returnal is a blast. There's a learning curve but it is designed to make you feel very good as you build skill. Then there are tons of challenges after the main story that keep you interested.
Finished spectrum retreat today. Not in the same vein at all but it was a really cool puzzle game which I also like! The mechanics were interesting and didn’t get stale despite my frustration of having to do the final puzzle several times due to minor errors.
One of my favorites is really simple. Grilled or pan fried corn kernels tossed with fresh tomatoes, feta, black beans, and whatever fresh herbs feel right (cilantro is an obvious choice).

Loved this game and can’t wait for this DLC to play more of it.
