adjustable text size is coming in a future release. The comment sort selector is in the top-right of the comments screen. Also, per the post (and the release notes), messages and profile pages are not included in this release.
please keep in mind that this is an early beta and, as such, is not feature-complete.
“MPD officers frequently use indiscriminate force, failing to distinguish between peaceful protesters and those committing crimes,” the report says. “For example, MPD officers regularly use 40 mm launchers – firearms that shoot impact projectiles, like rubber bullets – against protesters who are committing no crime or...
"Still, since the spring of 2020, hundreds of MPD officers have left the force, and the morale of the remaining officers is low," the report stated. "Policing, by its nature, can take a toll on the psychological and emotional health of officers, and the challenges of the last few years have only exacerbated that toll for some MPD officers."
Translation: “Being not-racist hurts cops’ fee fees, and many quit over fears that they might be held accountable for murdering black people, so, uh, we’re gonna keep doing that.“

I read The Verge's latest interview with Steve Huffman here and it seems as though the Reddit blackout is having little to no effect. It also seems as though the communities at large don't really care and will probably just use the official app or don't really know there are 3rd party ones. So it seems this will pass and be...
Yes and no. In this case, the delay is because we updated the version number (0.0.6 —> 0.0.7) instead of simply the build number (which we also bumped to 23). This is what triggered the review. Hopefully it will be a short process!
yeah, some lemmy instances are slammed and throwing SSL authentication errors, and this is the response. we're already working on creating more robust error handling and changing the UX for those errors. it's very annoying, but we can't control the lemmy instances and whether they're up or down. what we can control is how the app reacts when it experiences an error, so we're working on making it less annoying!
I sanitized all of my comments before I deleted them. They’re welcome to bring them back. it’s all just a protest message anyway. But for those who didn’t, this is really shitty.
they don't retain comment edit history. they literally don't possess this capability-- it's a GDPR requirement.
it's possible that some of your comments were missed when you tried to sanitize them. i ran into this issue myself and had to re-run the sanitization script a few times to get all of my comments.
