I love it: deliberately removing features is now called “a bug”, re-integrating basic features like searching and handling local music libraries will take—checks notes—6 months. Als Ü40 sollte man ja langsam über Patientinnenverfügung nachdenken. Und ich denke, das wird recht einfach: alles, was einen Zugang erfordert, ist quasi ausgeschlossen

Das war mit heute die fünfte Fachkraft in Folge, die mir erst beide Armbeugen zerstochen hat und dann doch auf dem Handrücken gelandet ist. Und da geht nur links und auch eher begrenzt

Is there some configuration in #Camtasia that allows to export a video in reduced size? For now I export as “local file” (aka #mp4) without any adjustments. Resulting in 3.3GB mp4 from a 2.18GB project file (40 minutes video). Which I then put into #Handbrake (without any adjustments) to get 528MB mp4. But it takes hours!

Can I do this in one go just with the Camtasia export?

Meine Eltern sind vor zwei Jahren in ein neugebautes Mehrfamilienhaus gezogen, 4 Stockwerke, sie im 3. Barrierefrei (wenn auch nicht zertifiziert), Lift, alles schön. Bis auf: kein Handlauf im Treppenhaus. Ewiges hin und her mit dem Bauherren, Mieterverein, Studium von Bauvorschriften, etc. Es bräuchte angeblich keinen. Ich war kurz davor, selbst beim Bauherren vorstellig zu werden — hat mein Vater mir verboten

Is it possible to text with other people using different messengers? You can use iOS iMessage with SMS and iMessage. But here I’m looking for communicating with a friend like this: he would use Signal and I stick with iMessage?

Reason: I don’t own a smartphone, my iPad has no SIM card, so Signal isn’t possible on my side. We already agreed on not using WhatsApp. Any other suggestions for iOS?

Another first: booked an appointment for physiotherapy online (the booking, not the physio). At a French-speaking facility of a large nationwide chain, so the website was in German (uff!). Anyway, I have to recap body parts in French before Tuesday

The site lists 5 therapists, all looking under 30, none of them speaking a second national language. Unless they’re foreign-educated, they all learned a second national language at school. For 8 years. Go figure
