Is it possible to text with other people using different messengers? You can use iOS iMessage with SMS and iMessage. But here I’m looking for communicating with a friend like this: he would use Signal and I stick with iMessage?

Reason: I don’t own a smartphone, my iPad has no SIM card, so Signal isn’t possible on my side. We already agreed on not using WhatsApp. Any other suggestions for iOS?

Over summer, our #office has been reorganized: no more fixed desks, various zones for various communication/work issues. A clear “clean desk” policy which seems to work.

It’s really nice and friendly, space for everybody with way fewer desks than before when we had difficulties installing a working place for a new person.

But:

I much more prefere working from home than before

I realized that not knowing where to work today and who will be around me puts me under enormous #stress

Someone just told me that if a #conference would offer a #hybrid option, their institution would not allow them to #travel there but they must choose the remote option and participate from home.

Are there more places with such rules? And is this due to general financial issues or to achieve sustainability goals (by reducing CO2)?
