I was rooting for Denver, just because I love watching Jokic play, but I gotta tip my hat to Minnesota. The defense that they played in this series was some of the best defense I’ve ever seen played. No hyperbole. Game 2 and that second half might be the best defense I’ve ever seen played in an #NBA game. Just incredible stuff.
I do not have a rooting interest in either team but there's no way The #Panthers second goal should have been allowed against the #bruins. The #NHL just got it wrong.

I’d be mad too, but am instead enjoying the absolutely incandescent stream of profanities coming from the redneck lady next to me. She can’t find the right person to yell at, and keeps sending her hapless husband on sorties to try to get things moving. He wanders around, holds his arms up in despair, and returns unsuccessfully to be scolded for his ineffectiveness.
I love a good food hyper-fixation. At the moment it's homemade pesto for me. Don't worry about making it "right" with the mortar etc etc — just make it. Use olive oil, fresh basil, maybe some mint, any nut, any hard cheese, process it up. Put it on some broiled bread, or chicken breast, or tomato sandwich.
Not into basil? Use some sundried tomatoes. Even better!
@murtaugh My wife whips up a huge batch of it at the end of the summer and we freeze it in small portions. Homemade pesto in the middle of January is effin awesome.
@lizardllama yeah, I hit wonderland a lot in high school (mid 80s) cause I could get there easy on the El. And you had to make sure to call it a "pipe" or "water pipe" not a bowl or a bong; if you called it a bowl or bong they wouldn't sell it to you.

@StillIRise1963 yeah, he was still somewhat normal back when I knew him but still had a very "look at me" attitude. At some point, he obviously decided to make every news story about him.
@StillIRise1963 absolutely. At some point he decided the person covering the story (him) was way more important than the story. I would see him on CNN and was just shocked by the behavior, mostly because I'm an old school journalist (who's no longer in the biz.)
