Slice of life is about things that matter in life. It’s about shifting your perspective and appreciating the small things. The supermarket is a great example. It doesn’t seems exciting but it’s something we do often but don’t think about doing often. The term defamiliarization comes to mind (see: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Defamiliarization).

It seems to me that you are confused about the term ‘yuri’? (if not so, please excuse me) “Yuri” is kind of a genre that has romance between girls. The community you link to is about wholesome romantic relationships between anime girls. In this post “Yuri” is part of “Yuru Yuri” which is the name of an anime. The character in the picture is “Kyouko” from the just mentioned show. The show contains some Yuri themed content as well. As this picture is just one character from the show and does not have two or more characters in a romantic setting, this particular post would not fit in that community. I hope that explains it.
