Today is the Transgender Day of Remembrance.

Today we read of the names of trans folks who have died due to anti-trans violence in the past year. The number of names has been growing significantly these past few years.

Among those names we will read today is Caitlyn. She was a member of my local trans community. She was 19.

I posted this on FB but an anti-trans hate speech account comment- and laugh emoji- bombed it. Sigh.

I just spent 2.5 hours talking with the DOJ and EEOC about how I have been discriminated against for being transgender by the state of Florida, including health insurance exclusions, bathroom policies, and so on.

Now I have to collect a metric ton of documentation.

I’m exhausted.
