Normally, I’d say that it’s a great shame that a piece of valuable scientific equipment was lost and that it’s a massive loss to humanity as a whole as the international scientific community is usually able to co-operate regardless of boarders.
But this time, Russia said they won’t be sharing any data gathered from this probe with the international community and would be keeping it all to themselves so suddenly I don’t give a shit.
You know, I’m starting to doubt he ever even had any irrefutable evidence that would prove his innocence that literally every one else seems to have missed!
It’s a blessing and a curse. On the one hand, it’s easy to block out communities with racist, homophobic, and xenophobic views. On the other hand, it allows communities like that to become echo chambers and freely further their abhorrent ideals completely unchecked.
I don’t think the ban hammer is the most effective method of shutting down nazi shit, but it’s a hell of a lot better than shutting it out of sight and trying to forget about it.
My cousin got a new TV and I was helping to set it up for him. During the setup thing, it had an option to enable AI enhanced audio and visuals. Turning the ai audio on turned the decent, but maybe a little sub par audio, into an absolute garbage shitshow it sounded like the audio was being passed through an “underwater” filter then transmitted through a tin can and string telephone. Idk who decided this was a feature that was ready to be added to consumer products but it was absolutely moronic

So far in my life, I’ve managed to avoid accidentally scheduling meetings with out and proud Nazis. I’ve never attended an event run by Nazis, or sat down for dinner with one. It’s not a very high bar to meet. When this happens on the regular, you’re either oblivious or, more likely, share some core beliefs.
Makes me wonder if anyone besides Apple will be shipping a TV app for VR headsets. Seems like a relatively simple thing to do, so why not do it and use it as PR? Does Occulus have any streaming apps?
True, but even if the refresh rate and pixel density is good, that still doesn’t negate the fact that vr headsets are generally uncomfortable, hot, the lenses get dirty, and you’re going to start feeling that extra weight fairly quickly.
Also, im not sure because I haven’t tried one yet, but I find it hard to believe their claims of “crystal clear displays”. Even if the display is 4k, HDR, and decently colour Accurate, it just doesn’t compare to your actual vision.
Again, can’t confirm as I haven’t used one yet, but they types of lenses used in vr headsets cause distortion and blurriness towards the edge of the display and as far as I know, you can’t avoid this.
Still, I’ll remain optimistic! If they can deal with all of these issues, it’s going to be a really awesome headset!

I had literally no idea that’s how most people feel after doing chores. Even when I’ve actually done something pretty big like cleaning my whole kitchen or tidying up an entire room, If I feel anything other than indifference each time I see it, it’s usually along the lines of damn, that was a lot of work, not looking forward to doing that again.

Spiderverse is a very close first for me too! So glad I caught it in cinemas! I missed into the spiderverse in cinemas unfortunately so this was a real treat for me!
Glad you liked it too! What was your favourite scene? I’m torn between the escape scene after confronting the director and ambrosious, and the “evil ballister” subway scene. so much heart and character in just those two scenes!
I wasn’t aware before watching but clocked in fairly quickly! I think the allegory was done really well and as trans representation goes, it definitely one of the most positive ones without feeling “preachy” to me.
