I regret not getting a photo of our tiny installation in the Lounge during dark hours, but delighted that we got to put something we'd built in display. Thanks to Jonathan from the team who found a spot for us last-minute!

Had a lot of fun at EMFcamp! Played around with taking privacy-preserving photos using the tilt lens (and had fun with less light, as it's f1.4).

A view down Dipole hill at camp with the foreground and background blurred due to the bokeh. The image seems out of focus, but is yet nice to get an impression of the camp itself.

Again, I'm sorry that I've caused you pain. I don't think I said anywhere that people like you are lesser. Only that you're different to me.

But… Superman's home is destroyed and he escapes to a new place - that's literally the start of his story. You don't have to connect it to refugees in the real world. But I find that disconnect odd. Not wrong. Not lesser. Not evil. Not stupid. Just different.

And, yeah, I do find it disturbing that you think he isn't an immigrant just because he has no connection to his (original) culture.

That's just it though. I don't think it is subtext.
Superman escapes from a burning world. He builds a new life & tries to be helpful - but faces aggression & suspicion from the natives. That's literally the story.
The X-Men are demonised for being different. That's literally the story.
Star Trek is about a multiracial cast trying to avoid the extremes of colonialism. That's literally the show.
You can watch them just for the special effects & explosions. But that isn't the story.
