Please don’t promote Chromium in disguise, owned by a shady company

Half-Life: Alyx doesn’t require a NASA PC, and you can play it on cheaper headsets like Quest 2, or even older used ones like Rift S or HTC Vive

My PC has an RX 580 and it works fine for me, I’d say that’s a budget GPU

Racing games in general, personally I like Forza Horizon 5, you could play it with WASD and a spacebar

Overwatch is one of the easiest games to run on Linux, even before OW2. If I’m not mistaken Devs also had a positive attitude towards Wine/Proton, where they stated they will not be barring Linux players (looking at you, Bungie)

can’t wait to see posts like “I’m 80 coats in and eggs are still sticking”

Before the UI overhaul you were able to disable the WebHelper, significantly decreasing RAM usage. I’m also facing the same issue with the vrdashboard process from SteamVR, which is just a Chromium/Electron instance

Would projects such as Ungoogled Chromium be affected? Or possibly, is it something one could cut out from the source code?

Thank you so much, that stuff is disgusting as well as people defending it.

well I’m using it daily and it works, so sounds like your pc issue 😎

For the Quest you can try ALVR as an AirLink alternative.

Keep in mind VR is a mess on Linux-supported headsets, I’m using the OG Vive and I wouldn’t recommend ditching Windows for VR.

There are some attempts at OpenHMD and Monado. Unfortunately Oculus headsets like Rift S have their tracking handled by software, so the community have to write code for room tracking as well as controller tracking. As opposed to Quest and I think Vive/Index, where tracking is handled by hardware itself.

Haioo welcome to Lemmy! I remember your selfies from the subreddit x3

They already do that for NSFW posts, and they’re inconsistent about it. Sometimes you just have to click "I’m over 18”, but mostly it asks you to log in

NFS ProStreet :D

Tried getting it running on Linux but no luck, did you do any special patching for this game?

what is your favorite platform to play on?

Basically the title. I'm having a hard time playing this on my phone because it gets so hot, but at the same time playing on my pc the controls feel to weird for me to get into the swing of things. Maybe I'd be better off playing on playatation? Idk give me your opinions, what's comfortable for you and why? I really like this...
