Using an off-the-shelf gamepad for the controls was part of that cheap/lazy design philosophy.

Of course a Logitech pad isn’t a good idea to drive a submarine. It isn’t meant to be one.

Didn’t realize that. Purely anecdotally, I don’t recall seeing any debadged cars other than Teslas out on the road, but it’s not like I’ve been looking for them.

Firefox is pretty much the last major browser that is not derived from Webkit. If they go, then browsers are a monoculture, and that’s a problem.

IGN did one about Nintendo announcing a Virtual Boy Pro that you slot a Switch into a la Google Cardboard. That one almost got me, until I got deeper into the article and saw some of the more ridiculous quotes.

That should be the point, but in modern politics (especially in the US, but also in much of the western world from what I can tell), the people calling themselves conservatives have tipped over into reactionary/fascist territory, and the liberals have rushed into the void they left and taken over the “No change/slow change” position.

Yeah, the forces actually fighting for positive change are usually labeled as progressives or leftists now, and we have little representation in many world governments at the moment (certainly very little in the US).
