Anything that helps bookwyrm grow its knowledge library of books (missing a LOT of books that goodreads has) is a good idea. I fear however that combining anything which points people to where to pirate the book might not help the popularity/reputation of bookwyrm as a good OS alt to goodreads.
Without a doubt, there are many factors contributing to this. Some of the major ones in my mind are price (arena is cheaper than physical play, especially for rotating formats, combined with general increased cost to play making rotating formats much less appealing), and availability (arena is more convenient, especially for older players, and not many standard events in stores anymore).
Standard was also the defaco competitive format for spikes. With no major competitions that are accessible to the general player, even those players moved on.
Looking at picking up a quest 3, but want to try one out before I buy. Doesn’t seem like the usual places (JB, EB, department stores) offer any way to test them? Does anyone know of retailers who have demos?
The privacy issues with them are very off putting to me. Unfortunately however, there doesn’t seem to be any alternatives with similar functionality at that price though. The Valve Index isn’t available for purchase in Aus
I am prepared to toast myself a bit here but if you asked this 3 or 4 years ago you would have been flammed alive, now 90% of the comments are backing it. So why has attitudes to immigration changed ?
It’s a false flag. The are many contributing factors to CoL increases, particularly the aussie housing market. Supply and demand is one variable, in which immigration plays a part, but it is far from the major contributor. Don’t be fooled by false dichotomies which constrain the argument to one very small if/or discussion. If we want real change in wealth inequality in this country, there are plenty of more effective policies to be discussed, such as removing tax offests on investment properties for one.
This is crazy to me. How do the dishwashers in US heat the water up hot enough to clean effectively? Our dishwashers heat the water up past scolding, really helps cleaning.
There’s a hundred other ways to properly reduce inflation in a market, and they just focus on the same one thing over and over, all the while the wealth gap continues to grow… it’s grossly negligent policy behaviour
It’s by design unfortunately. All those in a position to actually make decisions about fiscal and monetary policies are the wealthy class, with vested interests in keeping the model in their own favour. Privatise gains, publicise losses, and shift debt onto the next generation before they can do anything about it.
Exactly what we said would happen in the first place. Libs really fucked us over with their stupid first attempt at data and cyber sec legislation, so misinformed. Almost impressive how firmly they had a grasp of the wrong end of the stick when it comes to data and privacy policies.
I’ve been using the notes app to write short thoughts, notes, poems, random ideas, etc and have found it really clunky for this. It has no simple way to edit formatting while typing or after, and a few other designs that seem to distract me. Wondering if anyone else had found this also, and maybe looked around for a better...
