You get a “this phone was reset in an unusual way, sign in to the original account used for setup” message the may or not hint at an email address. I’ve got a stack of them on my desk from former employees that I’m trying to get back into. Pain in the ass for business, good for consumers.
I had this same thing happen when I tried to sign up years ago. There is no way around it, there is no alternative. The only option is to send them pictures of your ID, which is in the “hell no” category on my to do list.

Basic blender went bad (motor ran but spindle wasn’t rotating). I wanted to disassemble to see if it could be repaired. Three of the four screws were Phillips head. I had to cut the casing open in order to discover why I couldn’t unscrew the fourth. It was a slotted spanner.
Just to add to your comment, the sell a smaller set for a few dollars less and also a “precision” screwdriver set that has some similar bits not but the full set. Both are very handy to keep around for this exact thing.
