Homo_Stupidus,

My favorites (right now) are learning to play star wars legion better, getting back into gunpla, finding mobile games that aren’t utter garbage, trying and failing to find decent friends, and sorrowfully watching hasbro destroy magic the gathering.

Homo_Stupidus,

Yeah I stopped playing about 2 years ago just because of product fatigue. And the new LOTR stuff costing twice as much as a regular set? No thank you. They have also leaned heavily into turning MTG into a weird “investment vehicle” with all these ultra-collectible and exclusive cards, the most egregious of which is the “one of one ring.” It’s pretty gross. It’s much less about the actual game now, which I’m sure would (does?) disappoint Dr. Garfield as he only wanted to make a game. He expected people to play magic at the kitchen table and wrap a rubber band around their deck when done.

Homo_Stupidus,

I like lemmings. It's hilariously ironic considering we want to try and get away from hiveminds (at least as much as is possible on any social platform).

Homo_Stupidus,

Yeah same. I have no real love for Reddit itself, but it has so many subreddits dedicates to very specific interests. They're so easy to find and they can turn into such a treasure trove of information. I'll stop using Reddit as my "main" social media, but I'll probably still use it just for certain subreddits.

I also am looking for a replacement Grimdank. May the Machine God guide us to a new grimdark shitpost repository.

Homo_Stupidus,

Reddit has answered almost every question I’ve ever had for years. The potential loss of all the knowledge is my greatest concern.

For everyone new to Lemmy, how are you finding the experience?

I wanted to get a pulse check on how new members are finding the general experience/website. Is it more confusing than Reddit or are you finding the instance system a better way of doing things as it can give you more freedom of where you choose to create an account?...

Homo_Stupidus,

I think I'm getting the hang of it, I'm just concerned it won't ever get to the point of having as many in depth communities as Reddit, because that's what I like most about Reddit

Homo_Stupidus,

The only thing I truly dislike about my ASD is the difficulty with interpersonal communication. I like just about everything else.

Homo_Stupidus,

Yeah. Reddit has been my internet home since 2012. It's surreal and depressing to see it so far gone. Still unsure where I will go next, but lemmy feels familiar at least.

Homo_Stupidus,

That was the thing I enjoyed most about it really

Homo_Stupidus,

Yeah I will probably still use Reddit for my hobby communities. The knowledge amassed in those subs is too valuable to leave completely
