Well, not really afraid of death, but more like afraid of not existing any more. Like not experiencing anything at all ever again. Thatโ€™s why NDEs give me some hope, either another realm, or reincarnation, or whatever except nothingness.

Nutomic and dessalines arenโ€™t exactly brilliant programmers or project managers, and their presence is more of a hindrance than a help at this point.

I donโ€™t think that tankies are the real issue. Obviously theyโ€™re an issue, but the real issue is that mods/admins allow them to post and comment as they please, and they donโ€™t remove any of their posts and comments, and they even donโ€™t ban them for good.

I got harassed by tankies even after pointing them out that I have ADHD and ASD. That was months ago, when I was commenting from time to time on a lemmy.ml community. And mod did nothing, obviously ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Hello. I was diagnosed with ADHD one year ago already (I was 35 back then), but since then Iโ€™m only with medical treatment, in other words, with medication. This medication can keep my ADHD symptoms under control, at a degree. But it does absolutely nothing against my executive dysfunction and my focus issues, and I donโ€™t...

Thank you. Iโ€™ve only found one psychologist near my town, and he doesnโ€™t even treat ADHD on adults. Only on children and teenagers. Either way, being in Spain I can assure you that price would be astronomical for my wallet.

About the other link, Iโ€™m looking at it. There are a couple of psychologists from Singapore, but I need to be sure that they treat ADHD on adult population, and I donโ€™t even know how the price is per session there.

I donโ€™t have any insurance, only for dental treatments. For everything else Iโ€™m under the Social Security.

Creo que un psiquiatra, independientemente de si es sanidad pรบblica o consultorio privado, no deberรญa comportarse asรญ, dada la fragilidad de los pacientes que acuden para precisamente tratar esa fragilidad. Pero te cuento: fui a pedir derivaciรณn a mi mรฉdico de cabecera en noviembre del 2022. Me dieron cita con una psicรณloga clรญnica para enero del 2023, y luego de eso una cita con una psiquiatra en marzo del 2023. Dada mi urgencia (estaba queriendo preparar oposiciones a funcionario), no quise esperar y fui a un consultorio privado. Comentรฉ mi asunto, y me recetaron medicaciรณn. Funcionaba, pero no como yo querรญa, asรญ que me la cambiaron, y sรญ que se notaba, de no hacer nada en todo el dรญa a estudiar casi todo el dรญa. De ahรญ se confirmรณ que efectivamente yo tenรญa TDAH. Luego en la seguridad social me quitaron ese estimulante por problemas legales, y volvรญ a la medicaciรณn original. Y con esta sigo.

Ahora intento obtener terapia psicolรณgica en algรบn despacho privado para manejar o superar esa disfunciรณn ejecutiva, y poder hacer cosas sin depender de cafรฉ o tรฉ o lo que sea que pueda tomar.

No dirรฉ nombres de medicamentos ni nada, ni tampoco dirรฉ nada que vaya contra las normas de esta comunidad. Solo te deseo mucha suerte, y ojalรก que consigas ese diagnรณstico en la seguridad social.

My biggest complain about Threadiverse (Lemmy/Kbin pages) since I came is that there is too much content from US, both posts and comments, and almost no content from other countries, except for UK. But no content from Portugal, Spain, Italy, Poland, Germany (only in German on feddit.de), and so on.

Reddit had that problem too, but on r/europe at least I could read several news posts every day, even with translations in the comment section. Here everything is about Musk, Trump, DeSantis, FCC, Governor of Virginia, Governor of California, Governor of Iowa, SCOTUS, POTUS, CNN, Fox, Jon Stewartโ€ฆ

I have no other complains. But this one is getting me tired of Lemmy/Kbin, because I have almost no place to interact on.

Doom 2 is my most favourite game, being Doom Eternal my second most favourite one. Iโ€™ve never played Doom 3, Iโ€™ve barely touched Doom 2016, and Doom is meh without the super shotgun or the pain elementals.

Gzdoom is the source port I use to play Doom games. It has lots of configurations, you can use tons of mods, and freelook & no autoaim are a delight.

By the way, I upload regularly Doom 2 videos on my HardLimit (Peertube) channel.

This post lamented some of the difficulties weโ€™re running into with the site at this point, and what the future might hold for us. This is a more formal post about those difficulties and the way we currently see things....

Anywhere very far away from tankies, please. Iโ€™m tired of being harassed by them anywhere I post a comment. Theyโ€™re nazis/fascists in disguise.

Youโ€™re very lucky you can change to an stimulant. Iโ€™m not so lucky because I was diagnosed as an adult, so Iโ€™m not allowed to take stimulants in Spain. Besides, stimulants work for half a day, more or less, and canโ€™t be taken every day.

Itโ€™s OK, I wonโ€™t complain (yet :P ). The problem was more the time when I take medications. Both Concerta and atomoxetine, I took them at breakfast, letโ€™s say between 7 and 8. Concerta wore off at 18, 19 or 20, it depended on the day, but sometimes I needed more time to do my stuff, until 22, and I felt upset because of that.

Atomoxetine starts fully working after weeks or months. But it works for 24 hours, so I can control when I start and when I stop doing my stuff.

Besides, I didnโ€™t take Concerta during weekends, which was good at that moment, but not always. Being a student has some circumstances. I stopped taking that pill in March, when I started atomoxetine.

I managed to study 2 hours yesterday. It seems that atomoxetine works. But it doesnโ€™t feel very effective, because I planned to study 8 hours, and a wild YouTube video appeared during my break. And today Iโ€™m doing nothing productive at all.

Medication works, but it doesnโ€™t work in the way I want, like methylphenidate did.

I had a competitive service exam last Sunday. I think I passed it, but I donโ€™t know yet, until the publication of the provisional official results after some weeks. Thatโ€™s the good news.

The bad news is that Iโ€™ve been bullied by two tankies over two comments I posted on lemmy.ml, and Iโ€™m so upset that I donโ€™t even know what to do or how to deal with it. Life fucking sucks, really.
