Anyone else in the fediverse take language lessons on ? I achieved a 2000-day streak there this past Saturday, which is the longest contiguous streak I've ever managed.

It would have been even higher than this, if not for one holiday (Christmas Day?) years ago where I forgot to complete at least one lesson, and I didn't have any Streak Freezes equipped. I've had to use a few Streak Freezes in order to preserve this streak, but for the most part I'm diligent about completing at least two lessons every day.

Whenever I set a timer on my phone I worry for a split second as to whether it’s using imperial or metric time.

@talon @emilvolk I believe this is the first real-time demonstration I have seen of metric time, and appreciate it being put side-by-side with conventional time.

I knew metric seconds were slightly shorter and metric minutes a bit longer, but it's good to see it in practice.

@cendyne We've been using automation-based tools for years to spam people (robocalls, emails, etc.) so it makes perfect sense that AI would be harnessed to do the same thing. Legality, ethics, and common decency be damned when there's a possibility of money to be made. :blobfoxdead:​

    @Sominemo @tilton I remember, years ago, using the "QtWeb" browser which used the WebKit framework. I liked it because it was a tiny browser with apparently minimal resource usage. Such a shame it hasn't been updated in nearly 10 years.

    @Karb_Derg I've got one 'sona (Intaglio) that is my primary and is well fleshed-out. I've got another one (Seigniorage) with one artwork and basic lore and that's about it. And I have a third WIP (Exonumia) with basic lore and no artwork yet. I find that, the more anthro OC's I envision, the less effort I put into fleshing them out.

    @Karb_Derg This is the first I'm hearing of such a thing. Then again, I'm not involved in the "party culture" at conventions -- I've never even attended a room party despite having attended cons 9 times to date.

    @Karb_Derg @kianga It would not surprise me in the slightest if someone has already developed a dragon-themed (or dragon-named) Linux distro by this point. I've already heard of the existence of a furry-themed distro.
