I don’t give a fuck what FDA is gearing up for with respect to fowl fever. What I care about is what HHS and DHS are doing with the National Strategic Stockpile.

If a lethal, contagious respiratory virus gets rolling like it’s 2020, we’ll be shit out of PPE in days, out of ventilators, out of sedatives, out of pressors, our of saline and lactated ringers, and out staff. How do I know? Because we already ran this scenario, and nothing has gotten better.

Oh thank goodness, the renewal of my E-passport has been processed. Next I have to renew my APIT.

I don't know what they each are separately. But I need to renew them both annually by May 17 to continue practicing remotely in other states.

@_L1vY_ Sympathies! I should get a new passport, but when my birth certificate was transferred to digital, they spelled my last name wrong (van instead of von), do I'd have to jump through hoops to get it corrected and I've never had the time to deal with it. Bureaucracies are a beast!

with radiation done, now starts the fun of healing my nuclear boob's skin and the skin of the adjacent armpit. they look like they were blasted by an atomic bomb.

and apparently am enough of an ashy fucker that my skin gets so dry it hurts to raise my arm. i have to wash, wet & moisturize at least every 3-4 hours so it won't hurt.

bought not even a week ago a tub of moisturizing healing ointment and am already 1/3 of the way. am an IRL Bill Burr joke 🙄

@SKleefeld If they do it like they did Thanos, where he’s a shadowy figure who is hinted at, it could work. Bringing him in as a full character right away doesn’t give them room for a follow up, really.
Doctor Doom or Namor make a lot more sense as villains/anti-heroes. Also with Doctor Doom, you can tie in Mephisto and Doctor Strange.

Hey covid-cautious friends, I'm looking for recommendations for a HEPA air purifier.

I did all the research needed to purchase large ones for my home, but now I'm looking to buy a smaller medium-sized one for my oldest to take to college for use in a dorm room.

Must be HEPA and ideally relatively quiet and not take up too much space.

There's an overwhelming number of brands out there now, some claiming "HEPA-grade" but not really. Would love some starting points. Thanks!

@blogdiva What’s nice about this is that people will notice AI traffic fuckups in real time. And who among us, caught in a traffic snarl up isn’t calm, patient, and understanding?
“I’ve been caught up in this AI created traffic for an hour, but that’s ok, because in 10 years AI will reach its potential. God, I love AI!” is a thing that everybody will think.

@shoq The old crowd on Twitter could have helped with all that. IronSpike is on BlueSky if you want to ask her anything about that, though plenty of people in the comic book crowd have done successful kickstarters, too. Most of them ended up on BlueSky too.
