I'm awake and starting my daily thread of nips and bits, jots and thoughts, reelings and feelings

Definitely going to probably fall into a nap some point today, not sure why I'm puttering about now for almost 3 hours

One thing of note earlier in the week and the stress happened is how much it flaked out my resting heart rate. Like late Monday evening even some hours after the worst of things my rhr was up in the 90s. This morning as I write this my rhr is about 67 bpm

So that rhr of 67 is probably a good sign that my physical health is improving, okay?

But what happened earlier in the week showed how fragile I can be with emotional stress and also probably shows that it's important, damn fucking important, that I do what I need to do to avoid stressful events. Having a resting heart rate climb to near 100 bpm and go on for hours and then take some days to continue to drop down towards unstressed baseline is not good for health, physical and emotional

Awake again. Had a dream where I was using the infinitive to bro

Have reopened and copied a spreadsheet I used to use to keep track of glucose results and insulin dosing. I'm probably going to add some more cells to it in the days to come to help me keep track of diabetes management and start getting a better more data minded understanding of how my metabolism has changed with exocrine pancreatic insufficiency now being treated

For this morning right now it's just good enough to log

the first blood sugar result and that I have dosed 25u Lantus for my daily basal shot

Along with a note that I'm injecting 3u Humalog to handle the liver waking up

Also want to get in habit of weighing myself daily. This morning the scale said 169 lbs

I probably should also keep some notes about physical activity

The best thing from yesterday was the sturdy stick I found and brought back to my little veggie plot. It's now a stake next to the green pepper plant. The stem has been tied to the stake.

But when I got back with it, I soon realized that using just my arms and hands weren't enough to drive the stake into the ground to enough depth that it would be sturdy and not possibly fall over in weather in wind.

But there by my foot was a good stone that fit well into the palm of hand. So I picked up

If you’d asked me just twelve hours ago whether I hoped to be able to post a picture for , I would have said “no”.

I would have said I’d given up all hope of coming home after 26 days away 😿

And I would have been wrong 😱

As it is, I’m just amazed & grateful that he returned shortly after midnight last night. Very skinny, but otherwise seemingly well & very loud 😺🥰

oh my goodness yes. I've been thinking about that idea quite a bit especially over the past year as my fatigue has been so bad. Finally all the pieces of evidence came together and I realized that when I described tired to NTs, they didn't relate to it like my tiredness and my experiences and how I reach a tiredness where I can no longer do anything. They think that tiredness still allows effort...

Awake.

Some anxiety this morning and stomach is complaining.

Did a language lesson on Duolingo and today my learning streak has reached 2000 days. So yay for that, though I haven't been doing nearly as much study as I would like or should. Many days of just doing one lesson.

Sometimes it just feels like all the overwhelm of 2021 blew out all my fuses and any sort of sense of stress or potential overwhelm terrifies me. It leaves me feeling like I'm slowly smoldering into nothing.

Finally got an easy work task with high reward and it means I can relax and not feel pressured to hurry for rest of day

looks like the line is almost past where I live so I guess I'm okay enough where I am
