Yesterday I was putting away laundry, happpily jamming some music on my headphones and dancing and just having the best time possible doing mundane housework. I was nearing the end of 🧺 #3 when I started to feel a little bored so I put in an internal request for any music any of the headmates might want to listen to and Light Grenades by Incubus was selected.

So we’re finishing up the last bit of laundry enjoying an Incubus album that we listened to a lot in college and I just start yawning over and over like I just can’t stop yawning. And then it dawns on me that the yawns are just college me being stuck in there feeling so fucking tired that she can’t stop yawning and she really doesn’t want to do any more laundry. So I speak to her out loud and say “it’s ok, we understand. We know you are so tired but it’s ok. You can rest. We got this.” I felt my whole body heave such a huge sigh of relief just then. 👩‍👩‍👧

So I’m working on edits for a video I shot where I’m trying to use the original audio from the recording because there wasn’t music in the background for once.

But the audio needs some cleanup because of static/hiss type stuff and I’m realizing I don’t actually know how to do that. I started playing around with the audio filters in Final Cut and I don’t know what most of the terminology means 😭

So I guess, does anyone have recommendations on cleaning up audio in final cut? Or like basic resources for learning about what the terms mean on all these Logic filters because I’m lost and I don’t want to watch 1000 hours of YouTube dudebros rambling about tech.

I love seeing folks getting into “The Bear”.
