Right, the video in the meme actually talks about construction sand, which can only be found close to rivers and sea (or mined), desert sand won’t bind to the cement for being too smooth.

With Nintendo deliberately sitting on MP1R for so long (it was finished before Dread), I can see these other two ports not coming out until next year, and considering they are not as popular as the first one, Id hope they will do some kind of promotion to ensure they sell well too, like they are doing with the Pikmin games.

For the Prime games, Id like to see more mobility options to close the gap with the 2D counterparts, specially with Dread having brought a lot of new fans. While I understand OG Prime fans being fond of the pace of the earlier games, I do hope some of the advances made in the FPS market in the last decade (or those from Dread for that matter) will trickle to MP4: free flow wallrunning and grappling hook (not scripted or restricted to designated spots), decoupling the dash mechanic from the lock-on and give it a dedicated button, and universal ledge climbing to name some.

Reddit will get increasingly worse the moment they go public, even if they backpeddal on all of the BS (and they did to some extent), I'm already envisioning several Twitter/Twitch/YouTube-like anti-user monetization features that will trickle down one by one over the years. The owners and admins have shown their true colors, there is no undoing that.

If it weren't for how rough (and personally, confusing) Lemmy is right now, I wouldn't even consider going back. But if the growth stalls, and communities remain super small, I might hop back, which is why I haven't deleted my content and account over there yet.

I'm of the opinion that Reddit will become incrementally worse going forward, most users are not bothered right now because the whole API fiasco affects mods and not them, but as usual they miss the forest for the tree. The site will go for the users and creators next, but it won't be like this, it'll be one tiny annoying feature at a time to avoid mass abandonment. I'm already looking for alternatives, such as this one, in preparation, but most will put up with anything just to keep consuming the same old content.

Elon's next step should be to fire all lawyers so the lawsuits don't advance (that's totally how it works right?).
