LostRedditor,

I also suspect they’re all bots.

I joined when users were 10k and I didn’t see any increase in engagement including comments and upvotes.

📢Entire mod team on r/mildlyinteresting (and more subs) removed and locked out of their accounts after changing their rules upon community's request. (They're also switching subs BACK to SFW)

EDIT: GO DM MODS OF YOUR FAVORITE SUBREDDITS AND POLITELY ASK ABOUT MIGRATION!: something as simple as "Hey, I love this community but I no longer use reddit, will you guys be making a community on Kbin or other alternatives? Let me know please, thanks." will work!! We need more voices encouraging migration!...

LostRedditor,

This is the way.

Since they announced API pricing I migrated to lemmy and never looked back.

LostRedditor,

Bad. I just feel bad.

I think they would take advantage of Fediverse and destroy it.

LostRedditor,

I believe most if not all subreddits specified the period to go dark. I’d count on thier statement even if they said for good since reddit managment can override their promise.

Do your part and start the sub here. They might engage if they see content being posted.

LostRedditor,

I see where you’re coming from. Some even said they would go dark indefinitely. However, as I understood from another post, that reddit admins removed mods and reopend subs.

I think they wanted to stop/delay reddit going IPO by scaring potential buyers or force management to eliminate this concept in the near future.

LostRedditor,

This.

Everytime I see a federated instance I need to find it in community search to subscribe.

LostRedditor,

If you zoom in enough, you can see the international community /s

Reddit has permanently suspended my account for supporting Lemmy.

I have been supporting Lemmy recently a lot and made posts about Lemmy that got big reach. Today, sadly the reddit account through which, I moderated a lot of subs and spent time on, comes to an end. The reason was because I spammed according to reddit, but the reality is that they have censored me because I was hurting Reddit....

LostRedditor, (edited )

To be fair, they didn’t remove other posts which was posted 3 days ago such as these from r/datahorder and r/apolloapp

https://reddit.com/r/DataHoarder/comments/13yigdh/a_proposal_message_to_mods_do_you_want_to_have_a/

https://reddit.com/r/apolloapp/comments/13xy42u/now_that_reddit_has_become_greedy_with_its_api/

Based on a comment here, you were aggressively cross posting. I believe this was the reason for banning you.

LostRedditor,

Reddit has been falling since 2015 at least to me

  1. Redditors became aggressive when they disagree with you
  2. Ads everywhere
  3. Politics 99% news 1%
  4. Mods became s%!t

I used Apollo so the ads part wasn’t an issue for me. But the moment they announced their API disaster, I said enough is enough.

I feel lemmy is light years ahead.

LostRedditor,

I couldn’t find Mlem in the App Store. How can I download it?

Never mind.. I found the test flight invite in their github page
