Great to see. It’s important for the “support” and “administrative” staff of these companies to also be unionized, not just the writers and artists. There seems to be growing support for grassroots industrial unionism for workers who don’t necessarily all do the same job. This is how white-collar or “grey-collar” workers can best organize. You don’t need to do the same daily work as your coworker to organize for better pay and benefits!
I thought that Ikoria was the only plane with non-Eldrazi non-artifact colorless creatures, so I looked it up, but it looks like there are actually a couple other exceptions to that rule. Two creatures related to Ugin (makes sense), two creatures really only made to improve commander draft, and [[Wandering Archaic]], which is pretty unexplainable. I feel like it will stay as something “special” for Ikoria - I’d guess we’ll return eventually.
Yep, it’s certainly easier to actually get a response that sounds like it came from a human. I’m also seeing so many more links to interesting, niche articles and blogs. Especially on the smaller communities, people are posting substacks and blogs from some pretty alt-culture or radical thinkers. That stuff would definitely be drowned out on Reddit for whatever the top gotcha on Twitter was that day.
Jiangdu starts as an OPM in 1444. You have an immediate death war you need to press to reclaim a bunch of cores – take all the loans. Then you need a lot of allies to fight the bird-riders to the north. After that, your armies will carry you. A lot of the missions require army tradition to be 90 or 95+. A reminder that you can...
Looks like a fun run. Awesome to see Anbennar content here, such a great mod. It’s cool seeing Sarhal in the bitbucket version, looking forward to the full content release there. They’ve almost completed the entire map!
We’re on day 3 of Commander Masters spoilers and it’s been a mixed bag. Some of the card choices feel a little dated, but we’ve also seen a bunch of long-awaited reprints like the medallion cycle....
Seems like pretty low value so far for the price. I usually just buy singles anyway but I love draft and doubt I will be drafting this set. That’s okay though, I’m excited for the next two standard sets.
I swear I’m not trying to promote Reddit, I’m a refugee as many of us here, I just saw this video linked on r/Save3rdPartyApps and it amaze me that many people used Reddit for niche stuff....

BANGKOK (AP) — Thailand’s Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha, who served almost nine years in office after seizing power in a 2014 military coup, said Tuesday that he is leaving politics.
Here’s an NPR article I found on one of the major opposition parties that is succeeding this year.
… ‘its charismatic, Harvard University-educated candidate for prime minister told NPR: “Demilitarize, demonopolize and decentralize — that’s how you democratize Thailand. That’s the endgame,”’ … … In the past two decades, [the establishment] has staged two coups while Thailand’s courts have brought down three opposition prime ministers and dissolved several opposition parties. … “You have to imagine a lot of Thais, powerful Thais, elites, they have a lot of stakes in the system that were set up over the last seven decades … they bought into the system. And Move Forward is a direct challenge.”
Yeah it’s kinda unimaginable to me as well but this seems about the same as other union elections I’ve been close to. Still a better turnout than most US government elections. It’s probably good to note that some union-busting tactics are meant to decrease turnout or create fear that there might be negative repercussions for voting at all. This was a factor in the Amazon unionization drives that failed last year.
I’ve been having issues with searching, and realized this is connected. So when I search for communities through @lemmy.world I can find them just fine. Do you have the app setting “Show read posts” turned off? In a previous version, if this was deselected it would also hide your own posts in your profile since they were of course flagged as read.
Where can we donate?
I’m sorry if this has been asked often before, but it seems like the best app so far and I’d really like to encourage more features and bug fixes....
