Marin_Rider,

hating EVs is a lifestyle choice for too many people in australia

Marin_Rider,

so this game will be on a fast track to a decent discount soon would be my guess

Marin_Rider, (edited )

this is literally what mobile phones do in North Korea

Marin_Rider,

yeah 40C isn’t pleasant but tolerable but with high humidity, I couldn’t imagine that at all, and can see how people are dying from it

Marin_Rider,

it wasn’t even the first take, the headline had me wondering whether Seal was a marine biologist

Why Furiosa’s CGI Looks More Fake Than Mad Max Fury Road (screenrant.com)

Even in trailers for Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, the prequel looks notably different from 2015’s Mad Max: Fury Road. While the deep orange hues of the outback-turned-wasteland persist, Furiosa’s overall use of CGI is much more apparent — and somewhat jarring. Initially, director George Miller had intended to shoot Furiosa and...

Marin_Rider,

I was rewatching fury road on the weekend and this was something I picked up on I hadn’t noticed before. it’s quite apparent in scenes where a sense of urgency is required, such as when Max is trying to escape from the warboys in the citadel near the start of the movie

Marin_Rider,

it kind of looks like scenes are being sped up, but when you pay attention you can see the action is moving at a normal pace, but looks faster. it’s a clever effect used in the right places

Marin_Rider,

its not so bad but something you will notice now you know about it!

Marin_Rider,

not the unemployed, just those half dozen loonies in the AUWU

Marin_Rider,

you can, just ask to switch to the other sauce

Marin_Rider,

wet wipes need to just be banned. all they do is clog sewers

Marin_Rider,

I find most searches will give me the first 3 or videos meeting the criteria roughly followed by a bunch of random stuff that has nothing to do with what I searched

Marin_Rider,

its relieving to hear others didn’t like the book because everytime it gets brought up you usually see nothing but gushing praise bordering on fanaticism. I liked the concepts behind them but really didn’t enjoy reading them at all

Marin_Rider,

they were terrible. I didn’t mind one of the animated ones though

Marin_Rider,

I remember hearing that tolkien when reading the songs aloud never sang them, so noone really knows what they should sound like

Marin_Rider,

probably like other social media today. you don’t see anything you actually want to see at all, just ads, sponsored videos and stuff you didn’t search for that autoplays amd takes up the screen no matter what tab you are using

Marin_Rider,

I’ve (recently) stopped shaving entirely, but I use my trimmers to to a quick hackjob on the area I used to manually shave. so my facial hair care routine is about 5 minutes every 2 weeks or so, plus maybe 5 minutes a month to buzz my head. can’t believe I used to spend that much time every couple of days to look like shit. now I still look like shit but have a few more minutes

Marin_Rider,

I’m lazy and can’t be fucked shaving regularly

Marin_Rider,

they seem more like weird shaped veggies than minor damage. and nit a whole lot cheaper either

Marin_Rider,

man I think people can take things too far and act like drama queens sometimes but yeah, forcing another unnecessary account onto people is enshitification

Torrenting exposes your public IP. In a country where government doesn't care, does that pose a risk?

I honestly don’t believe I will have any legal trouble because I don’t do anything like cp or worse, I just pirate media I like, not even porn. But across users of communities, or on public trackers, is IP exposure something to be concerned about?

Marin_Rider,

it did, basically in Australia content owners are free to demand restitution for the actual loss suffered (ie the cost of a dvd) and if you ignore them, they are free to take you to small claims court over it, wearing the cost of doing so. so it essentially ended copy claims

Marin_Rider,

I’m glad the article touched on The Madison, cause that’s what it was called when I was at school

Marin_Rider,

not demolishing a single mosque isn’t exactly the kind of standard one sets when determining xenophobia

Marin_Rider,

the only PSU I ever owned that failed catastrophically was an Antec, so I can’t say I have a good impression of the brand
