mi ha detto proprio ska di aprire un post qua. il gdt e il gdr, come scrivevo sopra, sono due cose molto diverse e hanno due comunità separate (anche se con alcuni punti di contatto). non si parla degli stessi argomenti, sono proprio due cose distinte.
Back then I played Warcraft 3 ladder games and I hit my skill ceiling quite fast because my micro was simply too bad/slow. I still very much enjoy real time strategy games. Is there any real time strategy game that is played competitively with an active community where micro is not that essential? (Ruling out Star Craft 2.)...
it’s definitely outside of your scope, but since when I discovered boardgaming (specifically german boardgames - which are actually not made in germany, it’s just the name of the genre) I got severely hooked into that. these are mainly no-luck deterministic games where you compete with your opponents through strategy and tactics. my favourites are Imperial Steam and Caylus, but you can also start from Terraforming Mars for a more easier rules overhead :)

I have it. I find it very interesting but in all honesty it has a frustrating design. as soon as you learn how to trace trajectories, racing becomes so close to the point of being non interesting. and to gain an edge you start to rely on luck, which can destroy your race.

the only thing really necessary would be setting the language to the entire… sublemmy (??) so all the posts there would default to the sub language. I think it’s pretty unusual for a sub to have posts in multiple languages, but at that point the big majority of it would be set.
I doubt people had blood coming out of their ears, that would be a ruptured eardrum and it’s incredibly painful.
I was also thinking about the reversed karma of this band, Joel had an affair with his bandmate’s wife, then got famous AND married her too. it’s like he could do whatever he wanted.
anyways it’s not a terrible album, I’d say it’s pretty in line with the hammond rock of the time. not very metal though, not black sabbath-wise.
