@tikistitch Good analogy. Being leader is not always an enviable position. Just ask me. While not in the same context, just the same, it's not always what it's cracked up to be. Sure, you get the glory, but you also get shit on too. Everything you say or do is put under a microscope and so much is expected from you, no matter the time.

I'd say the caladiums filled in nicely! I actually had to move some plants bc they were getting too much shade🤦🏻‍♀️

The other side of the garden. The peace lilies are blooming like mad and the neighboring units/building can barely be seen. Thankfully imma genius at privacy planting!
The main containers in all their glory. Yes these are all containers. The view to the street and easement between buildings can't be seen. No peepers can peep here.

The project I was dreading.

While I love the hostas and hops, what was once plastic topped with pea gravel was becoming weed and grass infested. A real mess. So finally got off my arse, & dug up all the unwanted green stuff! I'm getting there but taking a long break. It's getting too warm. Later this evening or tomorrow morning... Will finish laying plastic in this section, and topping with brown mulch. 🌞😎👍🌿

What do you do with friends who refuse to put their phones down? Arghh! And these are friends who even read my blog about phone etiquette!

Went on a weekend trip with them and right now I could smack them both. They feel obligated to answer any call that comes in. For instance we are having a conversation in the car. The woman has to answer her phone and proceeds to take a 20 minute call, which impedes my ability to continue my convo with the 2 others. I'm so disgusted! 😡

And for clarification, none of these are emergencies, etc. If I were them, you either let them go to voicemail, and if you feel you must, send a brief text saying, I'll call you back, out with friends.

I got achey for some unknown today. Like what would it be like to settle on a coastal town in Korea (thanks Kdramas) or further up the Atlantic coast or an island somewhere warm or near a sister or a friend or near a new friend. I left my home town to kind of make a new home town. I didn't know I needed deep roots, but also freedom to be me. But today felt a bit achey for the world. Travel is definitely on my list to see and experience places. But I have to go at my pace and balance priorities.

@GQB I don't think ALL of them would change, but those who are borderline would hopefully be swayed. Sometimes it takes a certain act, a life changing occurrence, that turns an individual.

But trust me, I know people like the ones you refer to, and they aren't even politicians. Nothing phases them.
