@tikistitch Good analogy. Being leader is not always an enviable position. Just ask me. While not in the same context, just the same, it's not always what it's cracked up to be. Sure, you get the glory, but you also get shit on too. Everything you say or do is put under a microscope and so much is expected from you, no matter the time.
While I love the hostas and hops, what was once plastic topped with pea gravel was becoming weed and grass infested. A real mess. So finally got off my arse, & dug up all the unwanted green stuff! I'm getting there but taking a long break. It's getting too warm. Later this evening or tomorrow morning... Will finish laying plastic in this section, and topping with brown mulch. 🌞😎👍🌿
@GQB not on the property, but a beautiful navigable river and creek within a short distance (a few minutes). My dream was always to have a lazy stream in my backyard! 💕🌞 Who knows!?! 😎
What do you do with friends who refuse to put their phones down? Arghh! And these are friends who even read my blog about phone etiquette!
Went on a weekend trip with them and right now I could smack them both. They feel obligated to answer any call that comes in. For instance we are having a conversation in the car. The woman has to answer her phone and proceeds to take a 20 minute call, which impedes my ability to continue my convo with the 2 others. I'm so disgusted! 😡
@MondayMarionJ cell phones and social media are the bane of humanities existence. Lately when I'm stuck in a situation like this it where someone is taking way too loud on the phone in a public place, I insert myself into the conversation. I mean I'm being included whether I want to or not so, I'm gonna speak up. Funny how people get real quiet when they realize their business is being broadcast.
@MondayMarionJ I get what he's saying. I've read the post flight interviews and yes they come back changed but i think the reason for this change is their nature before the flight. they have a good sense of self and emotional maturity, they have to, to be astronauts. Most Politicians and bullionaries don't have that to begin with so the flights wouldn't have the same effect. Their greed and egos would just see the world as something to conquer. Such a petty mindset really.
@GQB I don't think ALL of them would change, but those who are borderline would hopefully be swayed. Sometimes it takes a certain act, a life changing occurrence, that turns an individual.
But trust me, I know people like the ones you refer to, and they aren't even politicians. Nothing phases them.

@MondayMarionJ I think they would for the most part agree with me. Especially, the rap line after hearing their solo works. I often wonder if they will be more vocal about their takes on the world upon return. While I think they have been honest, I do think they have been more reserved than they want to be at times. I mean RM cypher 3 at the Busan Concert... the man has something to say.
@GQB I'm positive that this two year process will change them in many ways. There's no way it can't. They will still be BTS, but the military experience will leave its mark.
