Together In The Stratosphere

The truth is I never was there when Pokemon first started, but I am happy to celebrate their 20th birthday today. Last time I wrote about Pokemon, I told the story about my life as a fan from start to present. What would I write about this time? Back to Basics

My health has been a rollercoaster the past year both mentally and physically and I know two things are the main culprits. The first one is stress, I was doing fine at the beginning of my current job, and then in late 2022 after I came back from a trip abroad that was on my bucket list, I was trained in a new rotation that gave me a strong level of accountability.

How do you feel about cold weather? I used to love winter as a kid when I could play in the snow, but now all that has changed. I enjoy winter up until Christmas and then after that, I can't wait for it to end. We don't get as much snow as we used to, and not to mention the awful wind chill bites at any exposed skin, which is mainly the face.

Remember The Subspace Emissary? That was a helluva attempt at adding a story mode to a Super Smash Bros. game though I really wish Zelda and Peach weren't damsels in distress for over half of it and... oh yeah... they shouldn't have made Rayquaza a boss fight. That was just heartbreaking for me.

Damsel – Blood of the Dragon

I dove down the rabbit hole when I first saw that trailer on Netflix and, pretty soon, there was no coming back. I loved the Damsel movie so much for how badass, empowering, and oh yeah, dragons, so as soon as I discovered there was a book, I had to read it immediately. My copy of it had a tie in but I'm still really good at picturing things my own way when I read books.
