Just got back from seeing Furiosa, a movie I totally forgot was even a thing until my friend invited me to see it, and I’m so glad I went. It’s an amazing prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road, which I’m going to have to watch again very soon to refresh my memory.
I haven’t seen Fury Road in several years, so I wasn’t able to connect all the dots while watching Furiosa, but even so, I enjoyed Furiosa immensely. The cinematography, direction, and choreography of the chase scenes were brilliant, but so were the character driven scenes. For me, the story occasionally got lost in the visual spectacle of the film, but by no means did it reduce my enjoyment of it.
I also like how even though it’s a dystopian story, there is still some dark humor in it. And much like Fury Road, I found Furiosa to be quite “artsy” for a mainstream Hollywood film.
I’ll definitely be adding Furiosa to my own movie collection once the disc is released.
Sans avoir passé un mauvais moment, au final j'en ressors en me disant que c'est peut-être le film de la saga #MadMax que j'ai le moins aimé, à chaud, mais je pense que ce sera un film à revoir à tête reposée, libéré des attentes (forcément disproportionnées).
Mais je n'ai pas la prétention d'avoir la science infuse ou des goûts universels. Allez le voir et faites-vous votre propre opinion :)
They turned #MadMax into a Disney-Marvel like crap. No rhythm, no cool design, no blood, not metal at all. After loving #FuryRoad more than any other movie of its decade, this #Furiosa is SO disappointing. The only movie of the whole saga that is boring and slow.
