I don't think most parents truly care that the kid is a repository of knowledge or that their grades are good.

What they care about is that the kid has a good life. If school didn't exist, but being able to make balloon animals was an important job qualification and indicator of success, that's what parents would want for their children.

I suspect that scholars sometimes forget about this, because they love knowledge for knowledge's sake. They have a philo - love - for Sophia - the goddess of wisdom. They're philosophers, in other words.

Mr_NutterButter,
@Mr_NutterButter@gameliberty.club avatar

@thor I love knowledge for the sake of knowledge however.

I however have a book of some of the most important pieces of information that I think is vital for my kid to learn for general life skills.

A lot of these pieces of information I have in my book took me several years to learn or just confusing because I had to teach myself.

Best to give them a head start.

Mr_NutterButter,
@Mr_NutterButter@gameliberty.club avatar

@thor I also wanted to add on that.

I'm specifically designing different subjects and events to let my kid try out essentially different careers while they're growing up.

Kind of like how some people are more scientifically inclined or more artistically declined I think it's a smart idea to figure out what they lean towards and then try to narrow down what they might want to do naturally.

Mr_NutterButter,
@Mr_NutterButter@gameliberty.club avatar

@thor I'm more referring to just general pieces of information like how to change a tire and stuff like that.

The wisdom I'll give them when they're fully an adult and they'll be able to understand it 10 to 5 years afterwards.

Mr_NutterButter,
@Mr_NutterButter@gameliberty.club avatar

@thor definitely agree with you that's why the information I have I sometimes occasionally remove or replace with something a lot more relevant and always like to keep it updated.

The main thing I want to focus on when I have a kid is trying to find what they generally enjoy what talents that they might have.

I don't particularly feel like they need to do anything special to impress me other than following what they want to do. My job is to set a good example and to set them up for the rest of their life.

Of these American sandwiches, the only one on the list I had the opportunity to try while I visited the country was the Philly Cheese Steak:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DiLQfGSIh5o

It wasn't as fancy as the best one in the video though. It looked much less fancy than that.

@thor I'll be real most American food is just softly made and put together, but damn does it taste good.

    Watched an NRK mini-series about far-right groupings in the Nordic countries, and these places called active clubs, where they're training to fight in the big race war they believe is coming, or has already started.

    It's a very small scene of a few hundred people, scattered around the region, who arrange secret meet-ups in remote locations. The presenter interviewed a number of people. Most of what they say is true in a factual sense. But they view these facts through a lens of racial purity.

    It's like an axiom or statement of faith to them. Once you believe in the idea of a white race that must be preserved, the rest of what they're arguing is internally consistent.

    It's very reminiscent of other types of faith. You only have to take a few things on faith to become religious, and receptive to the rest of the canon.

    Mr_NutterButter,
    @Mr_NutterButter@gameliberty.club avatar

    @thor as long as someone can create a ideology all they need, is to only make someone believe in the core tenants of a few of the major pillars for them to be completely indoctrinated into their way of thinking.

    It's very plausible that IS is behind the Moscow attack. They have relocated to North Africa after getting pushed out of the Middle East. Meanwhile, France is losing its neo-colonialist grip on its former possessions in the region, and Russian troops have moved in to fill the defence gap against the IS, making Russia their new main enemy.

    Russia wants gold and other resources to fuel the war in Ukraine. We're increasingly seeing Russia and China taking over as neo-colonialists of the Third World.

    One thing that sadly isn't happening here is these countries gaining any true independence or control of their natural resources.

    Mr_NutterButter,
    @Mr_NutterButter@gameliberty.club avatar

    @thor I'm on the side that IS did do the attack but I'm still kind of hesitant.

    Cuz you always have that looming possibility.

    But considering how Russia and China are definitely going into Africa and causing more destabilization I'm not surprised that this would eventually happen.

    I do have to say though Russia is very good at targeting these groups with high precision.

    So makes sense that these types of people would want revenge against them. I'm just more surprised how they were able to smuggle in those powerful weapons into Russia of all places.

    >There's still Windows 7 tards that limits themselves on running anything they want and despite the fact they're already limiting themselves like this and they don't want to give in to Microsoft, they still absolutely won't install Linux

    Jesus Christ

    Mr_NutterButter,
    @Mr_NutterButter@gameliberty.club avatar

    @coolboymew if Microsoft ever forces me to use Windows 11 I'm immediately switching to Linux without hesitation and I'll just ask people how to get Adobe and other prioritary software to function on Linux.

    I would use a virtual box theoretically, but it has such shit performance and Adobe applications require so much CPU & Ram that's just not worth it unless I'm able to run it on the Linux directly.

    Mr_NutterButter,

    @thor we're all one country but we hate each other equally. Eventually someone will get shot but that's just the American Way. But generally where I live a lot of British tours come in and they have a really bad reputation for themselves here.

    Mr_NutterButter,
    @Mr_NutterButter@gameliberty.club avatar

    @thor American culture is kind of deceiving to the outside.

    We're always at each other's throats but as soon as there is an extreme external threat everyone will join together and complete unity to crush it.

    But also there is a growing faction within the United States that is purposely targeting government corruption in describing every larger so pretty soon there will be a massive political shake up in the United States in the next 10 to 20 years even bigger than what it is right now.

    Mr_NutterButter,
    @Mr_NutterButter@gameliberty.club avatar

    @thor Trump is a little old but he gets the idea but not the ideal solution. Eventually someone will come in who's a lot more direct and what they want in that general scheme to get rid of the corruption within the government.

    But the primary reason why Trump side in the United States is blocking funding for Ukraine and Israel and areas like that Is because of the border crisis. The Democrats see Ukraine as a top priority and the Republicans see the border as the top priority and because the border has been ignored for almost 3 years under biden's administration now that the Republicans have an opportunity to strike at the heart of what the Democrats care about the most they're willing to do it even at the risk of Ukraine falling. It's because things are getting a lot more intense in the US for the past 20 or so years it doesn't seem like it but the Republicans were trying to compromise with democrats for the longest time and it just wasn't working out so now they're becoming more extreme in their pressure which is causing this instability because neither side wants to yield.
