That explosion doesent seem much bigger than a firework thats smaller than the battery’s size. With as much as a car weighs and the amount we already do to protect batteries in electric cars i imagine the explosion from these could be easier to manage safely than a lithium fire. I also wonder how harmful the fumes are compared to lithium
Ill play a little devils advocate here. You ever try to take multiple product shots of some foods and have it look good for the whole photoshoot? Cereal especially, its gunna get soggy, the milk will have bits of the cereal that have broken off floating around or itll start to get discolored. Not to mention that milk will be sitting under hot studio lamps for at least as long as the photoshoot goes which can go on for a grip there will be thousands of shots from multiple angles, same shots with the lighting moved around and changed and not to mention the photoshoots are usually of multiple products or the same product with different platings/bowls/etc so theres gotta be an inventory of of these products ready to swap out without them being disturbed. Photographers that tend to do the big stuff also tend to be very passionate and very serious about it as photography is an art form after all. As a consumer I would prefer honest representation of the product to be shown but as a photographer I do understand wanting to get the best look of the product and I know my 3am 2nd bowl of cereal isint ever gunna look like the picture on the box.
Fun fact: Ice that is usually always depicted in beverages is not actually ice but rather a gelatin or some other gelatinous material that wont melt under the lights this is true in movies too because you dont want ice clinking in glasses while actors are trying to have a conversation. And the frosting effect you usually see thats not CG effects is usually some form of aerosolised glue. Its actually fascinating all the effects that you can do to make stuff look a certain way in studio conditions without the use of CG
I bought KSP 2 in its rough state cause I had hope that it would turn out good and cause I put so many many hours into the OG KSP but once again big publishers trample it with muddy shoes. I honestly feel like a big publisher cant release anything that doesent absolutely fuck the player since Cyberpunk. Almost all of my game purchased since that game have been indie games and its been easy not to look back
I loved KSP 1 and I still do I just wanted some improved core engine refinements and really looked towards a new refreshed modding scene plus interstellar travel was an awesome idea for KSP (i know there were some mods) its funny cause I rarely actually went to space i liked building crazy planes. I learned to dock and went to mun/minmus a couple times but never actually made it to other planets without spawning myself there. I just enjoyed the game my way sorta. Plus more fluid multiplayer was something I really wanted to get into
It has gotten better but man still so much undelivered. Im just sad and im tired of being sad. Im fully pledging to never buy a big publisher game unless it absolutely proves itself first and even then im still gunna be hesitant cause vote with your money and all that. Honestly outside of KSP2 Ive already been purchasing and playing mostly indie games for the last 2 years anyways
Thank you that was super informative. Is there anything that can be done to mitigate an impending eruption? Ive always heard that if one of the big super volcanoes goes it could be quite catastrophic for the entire world. Surely theres been some research into like pressure relief holes or something…antacid tabs?
You are right sadly :( but dont discredit yourself so much! A ton of people do listen and a ton of people think yall are cool! I think you’re cool. Its just that those people and I dont tend to be the people that have the resource to make decisions
I bribe one of the underpaid contractors to hang onto it. Or i bribe the investigator to not find it. You didnt say he would get paid. I leave out an assortment of good foods/snacks and the remotes for the tv/controller so they can enjoy the day off. I then check in for my own nice spa day for my own day off
Xrays can be pretty immediately viewable they are used by airport security all the time there are smaller portable imaging machines that are more portable but really if i was investigator id start by having my team removing everything from the place and transporting it to the machine. The one half does the imaging and the other half starts tearing into the residence. Whoever finishes first gets to look through every xray image so that every person has inspected every image at least once
Yea and some items could be grouped together like toothbrushes and pens/pencils. It would definitely at least take half the day but if assuming unlimited funds/manpower you could have multiple machines manned by teams
I often hear folks in the Linux community discussing their preference for Arch (and Linux in general) because they can install only the packages they want or need - no bloat....
I think it depends on the packages themselves. Do you have a lot of packages with overlapping functionality or are they packages that specifically focus on one function. I think its bloat when your file compression package also controls your rgb lights. Not all overlap is bad but too much is. Im a bit of a noob with linux though so grain of salt and all that
Yea i prefer other platforms but all my friends use it, its the only real way to talk to my mom remotely (shes deaf) and for all its faults its consistent and reliable
Man I JUST got affinity photo for RAW work cause its a good workflow and way better than lightroom and now I find out about this? Ffs cant have shit on earth
Its a fun and engaging game that im sure will have more fleshed out as development continues. I wouldn’t call it gimmicky at all. Some people play for a bit then stop either waiting for updates, to play another game (lots of good games came out around its release) or for literally any other reason in my case i broke my hand.
Missing a phone call or text is unacceptable and id consider that a fail if it came to phones everything else you mentioned wouldnt be a fail just poor quality in my opinion
