Please, for the love of all that is good and holy in this world, do something about your rounded corners. Just choose a radius and make them all the same. Instead, you have some that are just square. some that have one radius and some that have another.
The rounded edges you see in GNOME today are typical in GTK4+Libadwaita apps or GTK3+Libhandy apps, it's not something Mutter can do (and I think it may be crucial for stability)
There are "artificial" ways to support rounded edges in all apps, at the cost of GPU consumption, which is Rounded Window Corners
macOS supports them because afaik only has 1 toolkit for making apps, and on Windows 11 not all apps support them.
@thelinuxcast I think I understand, are you referring to GTK3 GNOME apps like Terminal and the like? GTK3 (without libhandy) does not have rounded edges.
Some GNOME apps are slowly making the transition to GTK4.
@thelinuxcast@prlzx I've been using GNOME for 3 years after years with KDE Plasma, it was very confusing at first, and I used a lot of extensions, mainly Dash to Panel and ArcMenu.
After several months I slowly started experimenting with the GNOME interface, and little by little I got used to it (now I use it very efficiently, and I love it).
For those who come from other DEs and prefer a Windows-like approach, it's understandable not to like GNOME.
@haiku on my #ThinkPad is phenomenal, I'm using it a lot right now to watch videos on YT, surf the web and chat on Telegram.
I recommend anyone to try it.
