Yeah, that’s the question, found out bout this browser some time ago and got curious on what do people around here think about it, seems to be open sorce and firefox based so… Does it have a general good reputation among those who know it?...
I dont see the use. Its just Firefox with some light CSS, some Addons
Librewolf and Mull are the only Firefox forks I would use. And even these… Arkenfox user.js and custom userChrome on official Firefox Flatpak is the best option.
Hi, I would like to ask if openSuse Tumbleweed is a good option for daily driving ang gaming. I’m not new to Linux and have tried Linux Mint and Ubuntu. I can also troubleshoot problems on my own if anything comes up. The graphics card I have is Nvidia if its any relevant.
I dont know anything of Linux Gaming because nothing works, on my GPU, or whatever, somehow it doesnt work this is probably a WINE thing.
So Proton and all are sometimes working less well as Flatpak, which would stand against Fedora Silverblue/Kinoite and so on. OpenSuse doesnt care about KDE so microOS KDE will always be buggy it seems.
I use Kinoite and will probably never switch. Its pretty great, up to date, secure, with rollback…

Hahaha everyone hating Vanadium. I also dont see its value, its standard and not private, doesnt even delete cookies. Use it for sites where Firefox breaks, again.
Yay this is now a URL. If your intention was not to post a URL to some random website not loading anything but javadscript, put a "" before the link I guess

My ex from Norway mentioned how unusual it was that so many places and people here fly our flag (USA), so I was curious to hear what it's like for others here on the fediverse.
I've dabbled with Linux over the years, first with Ubuntu in the early 2010s, then Elementary OS when that dropped, and a few years ago I really enjoyed how customizable the gui was with Xubuntu. I was able to make it look just like WIndows 2000 which was really cool....
Just trying out OpenSuse microOS currently, as an alternative to Fedora Kinoite, and the installer doesnt even load.
I dont like Ubuntus variant of Gnome. I think GNOME can look good but its apps are often horrible. Mint has a better set of simple but powerful tools.
But I would stay with anything rocking KDE. I recommend fedora Kinoite fro ublue.it (better video previews and working RPM firefox basically), its a really great distro.
Crazy! Also I found the installer to be pretty weird.
I think I got it working now, the LUKS screen is blue and shows an error...
And Fedora Kinoite is not Beta at all. Its just as stable as KDE can be it seems, it has some weird timing bugs sometimes, but it works well and is very up to date.
Ublue is also essential, it bloats it a bit but thats nessecary.
Really its great! No you cant use a mutable OS for years. Immutable? No problem! You can even switch desktops, upgrade and downgrade versions, try the beta and switch back,...
Its still very hackable. /etc is changeable for example. You can layer RPMs and hack around installing SDDM themes using Lunas awesome sddm2rpm.
And still its secure, has zero-downtime updates and its modern.
Originale Tastatur.
