We see people linger in a depressive state for long periods of time, and we might think we're doing well by telling them the first step is to accept that they are not okay so they can finally get help. We tell them that they have to make the first move in order to move forward, but perhaps we need to change our thinking here. Have you ever stopped to wonder if the accepting of that fact that we are not well is perhaps the very reason for the depression? We know we're not well, we know what we need , yet, we also know we cannot fulfill that need on our own, and again, that is perfectly okay. We cannot be all things to all people, and that includes ourselves. If we all spent time serving our own needs because we had the ability, there'd be no need for building connections with others, and a life kept to oneself is perhaps the most damaging thing we can do to our souls. So, moving forward, I think the best way to address depression is to be the unwavering support we have the ability to be with one another, to carry those to what they need if we cannot fulfill their needs ourselves. This is perhaps the very fabric of love, each new connection we make another thread that weaves itself into the tapestry that sums up our lives. I said lives, plural, meaning this isn't a completely solitary journey. We need each other to survive, and when the line goes slack, we don't feel the strong pull of love from genuinely caring souls, we drift off into the ether, losing our sense of direction and eventually, our sense of purpose. If we don't see the difference our life work makes, or feel the benefit others delighting in our presence, we start to question where we belong, or whether we should exist in the first place. So instead of expecting the depressed to get themselves up and dust themselves off, we can lift them up and kindly whisper in their ear, "I may not have all the answers and we'll find them together, but no matter what happens, I won't let you fall."

There is always something to be grateful for, even on the darkest of days. Gratitude is like a flashlight, illuminating the beauty and goodness that is always there, even if we cannot see it at first. When we focus on what we have, instead of what we don't have, our lives are transformed. So, take a moment each day to practice gratitude, and see how it changes your life for the better.✨✨✨✨

Good morning everyone!!! :) Its Monday and your girl has a lot of energy for the morning. I don’t know why. As I’m not a morning person but I will take it. Its the start of the week, and I hope its a good one for all of you. Always remember to be kind to one another.
Today we are gonna be talking about neutron capture.

Neutron capture refers to a nuclear reaction wherein a target nucleus absorbs a neutron, forming a heavier nucleus and releasing a gamma-ray photon in the process. As neutrons are electrically neutral, they can easily enter a nucleus without encountering electrostatic repulsion. The target nucleus and the resulting heavier nucleus are isotopes of the same element. In massive stars, nuclear fusion reactions are responsible for generating elements up to iron and nickel. Neutron capture plays a crucial role in the formation of chemical elements heavier than iron. This process occurs through either rapid or slow neutron capture, both producing heavier nuclei. Think of a huge dance party. Countless tiny dancers, representing the particles in atoms, are moving together. Among these dancers are neutrons.

Now, think of a lonely neutron looking for a dance partner. It comes across an atom, which is like a group of dancers performing a routine. The atom has protons and neutrons at its center and is surrounded by electrons, all dancing together.

The neutron gets closer to the atom and is pulled into the dance by the attraction between particles. It joins the atom's center, adding its energy to the dance. This is neutron capture, when a neutron becomes part of an atom's nucleus.

This addition of a new dancer can sometimes change the nature of the dance itself. The atom may transform into a different element or even release excess energy in the form of radiation. Like a dynamic and ever-evolving performance, the world of atoms and particles is constantly in motion, shaped by the interactions and movements of its tiniest participants.

Today we are gonna be talking about Spiral galaxies.

Spiral galaxies are one of the three main types of galaxies classified by Edwin Hubble, the other two being the elliptical and irregular galaxies. As the name suggests, spiral galaxies look like spirals, with long arms winding toward a bright bulge at the center. They may also comprise a supermassive black hole at the center and a dark matter halo. Some of the spirals have a bar-like feature, and they make up the class of barred spiral galaxies. One of the most important features of spirals is that they have a high star formation rate compared to ellipticals. Some famous examples of spirals include the Andromeda galaxy, our Milky Way, the Pinwheel galaxy, and the Whirlpool galaxy.

It's okay to be different. You are unique, and that's a beautiful thing. Don't try to fit in, or conform to other people's standards. Embrace your quirks, and celebrate your differences. Be yourself, unapologetically. You are amazing, just as you are. You don't need to change to be accepted. You are enough, just as you are. Be true to yourself, and embrace your individuality.✨✨✨✨

Today we are gonna be talking about interesting and fascinating space phenomena.

The universe is full of amazing phenomena that we can barely imagine on Earth. Here are some examples of the most fascinating and mysterious things that happen in space. 1. Plasma**

Plasma is the fourth state of matter, after solid, liquid, and gas. It is a hot, ionized gas that makes up most of the visible matter in the universe, including stars, nebulae, and auroras. Plasma can also be created by powerful events like supernova explosions, solar flares, and lightning strikes. Plasma has some unique properties, such as conducting electricity, generating magnetic fields, and emitting light.
2. Extreme Temperatures**

Space is not a uniform temperature. Depending on where you are and what you are near, you can experience temperatures ranging from near absolute zero (-273°C or -460°F) to millions of degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit. For example, the coldest place in the universe is the Boomerang Nebula, which has a temperature of -272°C or -458°F. The hottest place in the universe is the core of a supernova explosion, which can reach over 100 billion degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit.
3. Cosmic Alchemy**

Every second, the Sun fuses about 600 million metric tons of hydrogen into helium, releasing enormous amounts of energy. This process is called nuclear fusion, and it is how stars create heavier elements from lighter ones. The Sun can only fuse hydrogen and helium, but more massive stars can fuse elements up to iron. When these stars die in spectacular supernova explosions, they create even heavier elements like gold, silver, and uranium. These elements are then scattered into space and form new stars and planets.

Today we are gonna be talking about the Electroweak Force.

The electromagnetic force and the weak nuclear force are two of the four fundamental forces in nature. At low energies, they exhibit different characteristics. However, at higher energies, typically in the range of a few hundred GeVs, these two fundamental forces merge and become a single unified force known as the electroweak force. The temperatures necessary for this unification to occur are on the order of 1015 Kelvin. During the quark epoch, which transpired approximately 10-12 seconds after the Big Bang, the temperature dropped below this critical threshold, leading to the separation of the electroweak force into the electromagnetic and weak nuclear forces.

The changes with discord and the whole getting rid of the numbers after the username genuinely upsets me. One of the things I loved about discord was that I could just use my own name. I didn't have to come up with some fucky username, I didn't have to find something that someone else in the world hasn't already used, I could just be Kaliah. Simple and easy. And now I'll have to figure out something new and obscure that nobody else has thought of, because there's no way in hell I'm going to be the first one taking the name Kaliah. This change really seems like a step in the very wrong direction. There's no way this will be received positively

Quietgirl82,
@Quietgirl82@dragonscave.space avatar

@Kaliah I agree. I don’t know why in the world they just had to change it. Leave as is would be best.

Good morning everyone. Your girl was not happy this morning, my phone randomly just didn’t turn on after I took it off the charger. Like, it just didn’t do anything at all. So as a result, my alarm didn’t go off and i was late for work. I finely got it to turn on. Thats the crappy fiery mess of my morning. Have a positive day. Today we are gonna be talking about cosmic sensorship.

Cosmic censorship is a conjecture in the field of general relativity that puts forth the idea that all singularities are invariably concealed behind an event horizon. In simpler terms, it proposes that any singularity must be accompanied by an event horizon, effectively shielding it from external observers.
Within the framework of general
relativity, singularities can arise, and they may or may not be visible singularities which lack an event horizon. When a singularity lacks an event horizon, the laws of physics break down entirely as one approaches it. In order to prevent such a breakdown, the conjecture was formulated by Roger Penrose in 1969, asserting that naked singularities cannot exist.

@SingingNala Thank you. I think this is a sign that my IPhone 11 needs to be replaced its been 2 years and I was undecided when to replace it but maybe this weekend. Actually most likely this weekend. I’m not sure what phone I will get, I will have to see if my provider has any deals.
