As the good midwesterner he is, @joshdholtz joked that everyone should text him when they got home safe from , and then created a Slack channel for people to do that.

It is one of the more delightful Slack channels I have been a part of in some time. Just a firehouse of pets and babies and scenery from all over the world. Every conference should do this.

    Bah, my printer has broken. I think I'm going to end up taking The Verge's advice and just buying whatever the cheapest Brother laser printer is. Almost never need colour and I can keep my old HP if I ever need to scan. I just need something that will work the odd time every few months that I need to print

    @pilky I got the cheapest brother laser. But it didn’t support MacOS/iOS despite saying it did. You had to use some Brother crap ware and it would only print PDFs or images.
    I returned it for the cheapest HP laser which I’m ‘happy’ with.

    But, Eric, why are you frustrated with what @w3c @wai’s WCAG WG does?

    Maybe it is that they don’t even care to fix typos in their standard that people look at hundreds of times a day? Oh, look at the errata! I don’t look at the errata when I copy and paste texts from an effing world wide standard. Not for typos.

    This is embarrassing on so many levels and makes the whole industry look careless. Thanks, I guess.

    My favourite thing about the Elizabeth Line is how trains depart Paddington from either underground or the furthest possible above ground platform at random and they don’t tell you which, you just have to pick one and hope you got it right.
