Working my way through ST:Lower Decks and glad I gave it a second chance. I abandoned the first episode about 10 minutes in—didn’t quite get the hook. But absolutely see why people think it’s some of the best new Trek out there. Recently watched ST:SNW S1 with no reservations, loved it; just started on S2, after being reassured it’s not all Gorn, all the time. Quite wonderful. I see they added a Guinan to the cast in the form of Carol Kane.

@glennf like you we had to give a second chance. Right move. Got so much better. We have now seen all aired episodes. No spoilers but those two shows come together later in st:snw S2. And…We loved it.

I'm not a doctor, but I think McConnell had at least one mini stroke while at the podium.

This can preclude a major debilitating stroke.

Diagnosis by video alone is fraught with error. That being said it looks like he had a seizure… given his history of recent head injury…that fits what appears to have happened better, medically, than a “mini stroke” or TIA. Senate Republican freezes at press conference
