Ah, I never heard about him, right now Apple makes pretty bad computers unless for their ARM CPUs that are more or less efficient, but that will end soon. They just messed up with arch CPUs, making things harder for developers.

Nope, he is just one guy more working on tech, he’s just richer than his employees, that’s why he is here.
But that’s just marketing… I wouldn’t say “This guy was a legend”, he just did a company and paid employees. He could have good ideas, but many of Apple features are startups bought and stolen, like SIRI.

I would say that it is still used by many projects, it keeps offering features and improving it, not going worse, right? But if they even do something bad to Linux, we can just fork as we do with any other open source project, and we improve it.
At first, I disliked, but now I got used because it’s very fast and simple… I don’t think this is what you are looking (customizations) but just wanted to show this.

I also run both, but Plex stopped to work I don’t know why (some internal errors) and I just stopped it, I will try to fix it another time when I have some time to take a look into it again. I only use Plex because it is the only app to watch my stuff on my Smart TV, but Jellyfin is much better for me to watch on computer or my smartphone. Also, on Jellyfin I can create many accounts for all my friends and there are some plugins to improve the experience as an admin of my files, so makes it very easy to share it with friends and family.
