Hi all, Dublin resident here, trying to figure out some data related to car pollution. I stumbled across this google study: insights.sustainability.google/labs/airquality?hl… which purports to map out the air pollution in a few cities in great detail (hyperlocal, street-by-street, air quality data). Remarkably, Dublin seems to...
Very good point. I noticed London data was also included in that study and seemed to have very high levels of nitrogen dioxide wherever they measured (despite having an excellent public transport system!). That’s a horrible shame that the Dutch have to suffer other nations’ pollution :-(
Found another pollution comparison of Dublin and Amsterdam, which suggests when you take into account a more holistic picture of pollution that Amsterdam is superior: www.numbeo.com/pollution/compare_cities.jsp?count…
Hey there, I’m a long time firefox user and have never ever had any problems with firefox. But after the latest update, the browser will now just randomly freeze and it happens very often. It will freeze for over a minute at the time, making it impossible to use the browser. I’ve refreshed firefox as suggested on their...
I was wondering, with all the different Lemmy clients and frontends, what/which out of these do people actually use? To answer this, I made a poll if anyone wants to fill it out, and I tried to put every client I could find.
I’ve tried in multiple apps to rule app bugs out, but I keep getting an error (it disappears quickly, but something about the file dimensions maybe?). Other accounts on the same apps seem to work, so my best guess is that it’s related to Lemm.ee somehow.
Sort of random, but some videos stop about a minute in. The bug symbol appears at the top of my phone. Fix: close and reopen newpipe and all is good until it happens again. Bug reports a network error when this happens. Happened at home and work, two different networks....
How is it? I was put off the last time I tried it due to the fact that it didn’t seem to run in the background. Also wasn’t great with office365 (which I have to use due to work)…
I recently opted to move from XFCE to KDE Plasma after hearing so many good things about the KDE desktop environment. While I like the desktop interface/experience a lot more on KDE, there is one glaring issue… I can’t remote into it....
Does it make a difference which one I use? I am using an old phone (~5 years old). Currently using liftoff! and connect. Feel like my phone is dying a lot quicker since I switched from using infinity for reddit a month or so ago
Thanks for the detailed response! I am using lineageOS on an old oneplus 6T. I only have the mull browser installed, but will make sure to clear the cache on it! Will see if there are any apps running in the background I am unaware of and kill them.
