My sister did jury duty in Manhattan decades ago and got sequestered on Staten Island. She snuck a phone call to tell us how fucking miserable she was and how disgusting it all was. We laughed at her hard.🤣

@StillIRise1963 It's funny because there was this coded term that used to be used all the time, 'fiscally conservative' which sort of meant 'well I just don't want to get taxed much but I don't want to be associated with the racists' and then it became more and more clear that the racism was so incredibly baked into the fiscal stuff it could not be cleanly removed.
Even that got 'no true scottsmanned' though. Most of the right can't even see 'conservative' on a clear day, anymore, either.
