Totality, as in the entirety, of the Alhambra is in the photo.
The most recent eclipse, which is probably what is causing the confusion here, was not visible in Spain.
Maintained camping spots in the Nordics usually have an axe for splitting firewood into smaller pieces. There is often a simple saw in the woodshed as well.
Crate-training itself is not illegal in Finland. There are, however, requirements for crate size and limits on how long a dog can be kept in a crate.
My one-year-old pup is crate trained and had enforced crated naps as a puppy. He is a very active breed that tends to have trouble managing their own excitement level, especially when young. These days the crate sits open and the pup elects to sleep in it most nights, and sometimes during the day if he wants to be left alone.
In addition, he has a collision-tested car crate that keeps him safe while traveling. He treats it like his puppy crate and just snoozes through most drives.
I don’t see an issue with crate training if it is done with the dog’s needs in mind. Crate is not a convenient storage to keep your pet in, and a dog should not be left crated for an entire work day. They need space and enrichment in their days to be happy and healthy.
I’m genuinely curious to know where in the world you live. I would be horrified if someone was peeking under the stalls or bothering people by knocking on the doors.
I would not use ‘laulu’ when talking about contemporary music, it sounds wildly dated. Laulu also tends to refer only the vocals, or that least comes off as dismissive of the rest of the piece.
Biisi indeed works with popular music but is not appropriate for classical compositions (sävellys). Instead of ‘biisi,’ I would generally use ‘kappale.’ It does not, however, work for all pieces of art, one would not refer to a painting or a sculpture as ‘kappale.’
Really proud of this little guy. Just over a year ago he got dropped off a shelf and was in pretty rough shape. Salvaged what I could and stuck it back in a pot. Wasn’t expecting much but here we are now!...
Awesome progress! Your plant looks very happy in its environment, it’s actually flowering.
However, to keep a string of turtles focused on leaf and vine growth, it may be a good idea to cut off the flower stalks. This plant is not known for pretty flowers, and actually the odd little sky-reaching stalks are the extent of its flowering glory.
I’m not the person you’re replying to, but I do recall Lorenz being caught in a lie and trying to cover it with stealth-edits. She has definitely had her (and her publisher’s) agenda take precedent over facts back when she was covering the Depp/Heard trial.
However, while I do try to verify her reporting from other sources, I would not classify her anywhere near the imploding egomaniac billionaire. She’s way better than any billionaire, because there’s no way anyone can amass that amount of resources and not be selfish, problematic, and too far removed from ordinary people to relate to them.
It’s cloudberry season here in the Nordics, and the bounty is very much worth the time spent foraging in mosquito-infested bogs. This is a dessert traditionally enjoyed in Northern Finland, and it is one of my favourite summer foods.
They’re quite unique. They’re a lot more tart and bitter than raspberries, with an after taste similar to that of some particularly tangy craft sour beers. The seeds are also larger, but the slight crunch is actually very satisfying.
The flavour is not universally loved, though, and especially children often prefer cloudberries with a heaping of sugar.
It’s cloudberry season in Northern Europe! I never would have thought I’d enjoy romping through the mosquito-infested swamps, but the bounty is so worth it.
In all seriousness, I have to agree with you. This picture encompasses so many amazing rain smells: wet grass, wood, and trees. Even wet gravel smells kind of nice, especially after a long period of drought.
I used to browse Reddit 90+% of the time from my phone through the RiF app, so after June 30th, here is what I did and what I recommend as a starter pack for others in the same situation:...
I’m not sure if I’m just technologically challenged, but I can’t seem to find a way to log into wefwef from a smaller instance. Does it only support the big four?
//edit: Turns out you can only pop in as a guest from the bigger instances. You can log in to any instance, and I’m just dumb.

It will. I am sure of it....
Who does your dog choose to sleep with?

Why don't public restroom stalls have OPEN/OCCUPIED indicators like porta potties do?
I hate peaking under the stalls or knocking doors to figure it out. The answer is so simple.
biisi vs laulu
I learned both mean a song? But when is one used over the other? And i am guessing biisi is a loan word, from where? Kiitos

Musk failed to get the necessary permits to change Twitter’s building signage to X, and the police shut it down just in time for “er” to remain. (mastodon.social)
The awesome Taylor Lorenz reports this on Mastadon. Highly recommend to follow her if you like these updates about what’s going on.
