Greta thank you for mentioning that community. I do actually also get a roof trace of similar size (bit smaller) on the house that I still don’t know what to do with so I’ll go ask there probably

Hvad med mange andre offentlige instanser? Politiet, DMI, beredskabet, etc. )

Came here to write exactly this. It’s a steep learning curve but well worthwhile. Although I’d specify and say: learn docker compose.
Edit: what I ment was learn docker cli tools (command line tools) and use Docker compose that way. It gives you a much better understanding of how Docker actually works behind the scene while still keeping it high level
Hmm I should maybe have added that I only ever touched docker cli tools and have never used a front end of any kind. I do know that they exists, but I like having my fingers in the mechanical room so to speak so it gave me a quite steep learning curve writing my own docker compose files from scratch and learning the syntax, environment variables and volumes working manually. I still to this day only use cli version of Docker because its the only thing I ever learned.
I can see that quickly becoming an issue if people just run random yaml files without understanding the underlying functions. I’m happy I never took that route because I leaned so much
I never understood how to use Docker, what makes it so special? I would really like to use it on my Rapsberry Pi 3 Model B+ to ease the setup process of selfhosting different things....
I can also add that if you want to run multiple programs that each have a web interface it’s easy to direct each interface to the port you want instead of having to go through various config files that are different for each program or worst case having to change a hardcoded port in some software. With docker you have the same easy config options for each service you want to run. Same with storage paths. Various software stores their files at seemingly random places. With docker you just map a folder and all you files are stored there without any further configs.
I have been walking to the nearest grocery, and have just had my foldable shopping cart break. The large plastic wheels shattered, and made for a very unpleasant time dragging the thing back home. I’m curious if anyone has suggestions for a good cart, or even one that’s relatively easy to repair. Foldable is not important....
I’ve been reall happy with the Sage/Breville brand. I have both a blender and a pressure cooker/rice cooker from them and they are really well build. Sturdy and super easy to clean and use.
Ive had a couple pairs of walking boots in the past and none of them have survived more than 6-8 3 day hikes and I’m sick of replacing them. What are some points to look for in good walking boots, where should I look to buy them from in the UK, how much should I look to be spending as a rough guide?...
You never go wrong with Hanwag pure leather boots. They are properly stiched and are designed to have theirs soles changed when woren down. When the leather is well taken care of they are completely waterproof and will actually last you a lifetime.
Damn i just realized that they now also produce goretex shoes. AWOID GORETEX BY ALL COST goretex is essentially a scam and it doesn’t work or last. It’s a terrible terrible product. My girlfriend and I have had collectively over 10 different pairs of shoes with goretex and none of them were waterproof. Even just wet grass made all of them soaked.
Bare in mind that whatever you buy, stainless or plastic, the first thing to actually break if you take well care of it that is, is most likely the heat element itself. I don’t know of any brand that sells kettles with replaceable heating element but would be nice. Second also remember ergonomics. Steel is heavy and can corrode while a simple sturdy plastic kettle is much lighter and won’t corrode.
Do I need to start over or can this be salvaged? (mander.xyz)
