@vegetarianzombie They never really topped Gish in my book. I actually caught them on that tour in a dive bar with no stage riser. Maybe 40 people in the place, tops. Stood right in front of Billy.
Ok I have to ask: what’s the deal with Orange amps? I see them frequently online in guitar and gear Facebook groups and other forums. People seem to love them. I’ve never tried one though so I’m just curious. #guitar#gearsquad
@RuVerb I've never played one but they seem to be the go to amp for the doom/stoner/psych crowd.. I ten to think of them as meatier 70s Marshalls, but I could be wrong
@NigelTufnel@RuVerb@Cyrus@eyesquash I’ve never been a fan of Marshall’s at all. Something in the tone stack that just hits me in some sorta synesthesia-like level with my fingers on the fretboard. It’s almost physically painful for me to play through a Marshall.
The NYC hospital my wife has worked for 20 years serving a needed population in Lower Manhattan as a cardiologist is now closing. Another sad loss for NYC and a huge adjustment for my family as she now has to find a new job.
The hospital property will be turned into luxury condos in short order.

Finally getting back to the gym after a long layoff, easing back in. I went on Sunday and did 215lb deadlift as a moderate weight, but ended up straining my forearm (grip strength) crazily enough. (I was deadlifting 300lbs before I took my break). So today I dropped it down to 145lbs - and I managed, but had to switch to a mixed grip to get it done bc of lingering pain in my right forearm.
